1:04 Writing Apu & his family off the show was supposed to be anti-racist.. Here me out now. I'd argue that removing him & his family from the show was even MORE racist than just airing him.. just like they they took the Indian out of Land'o'lakes butter emblem but they kept the land... ironic. I'd argue that Apu & his family are one of THE most American characters on the show. Moved to America, running his own business, raising eight children... That's literally the American dream. Cancel culture trying to say Simpsons needed to remove Apu leads me to one conclusion... Cancel Culture is the most racist culture of them all. & it's usually white liberal women who feel the need to call everything racist... Like, No ma'am. Black people don't need you to tell them when a racism is being committed against them... they aren't idiots, like you seem to believe.. They have the same level of self awareness as you, if not more. You don't need to go around and tell people what's racist or not.... because in reality, you're more racist than 90% of other human beings.. (as you lock your car door when a black youth walks by)

Reminded me a lot of the foreigners I graduated with & am friends with still, today.. They were very distinguished people & usually tried harder than anyone else around them, simply because nothing was really handed to them. I respect the HELL out of any family that is willing to work hard to create a life in America. Especially the families who took that leap of faith & packed up everything to make a new life here. That is the American dream afterall! The hope that everyone can pursue happiness, health, & escape from generational poverty! I haven't even watched the show lately... simply because of decisions like this one. Like I said, it's almost *more* racist to take him & his family out of the show... & catering to the hateful left will only ever create more division, confusion, & more chaos.... but then again. That is their motive....
You missed one huge point: they removed him because of "The Problem With Apu." A project made by an Indian. Your argument only makes sense if you are completely ignorant of that FACT. Like most smooth brains scared of "Cancel culture."
