Thank you Eric for elevating and educating all of those whom you come in contact with! I feel very blessed for your time and efforts! Thank you so much! And always “keep on carving”
Nice! I always look forward to your videos. Maybe do a video on what your routine maintenance is on your saws and tools. Might be a good video just to set up the camera and talk thru what you do as you’re doing it.
you must so much wood saw dust from carving. find closest you tuber garden Chanel. have them use saw dust in compost. or animal beding if goat or other animals farm live near buy.
Hi Eric, Thank you for the video. You certainly are helping me to move forward and try new things. I have the smaller Mikita Angle Grinder. When I showed up at Home Depot yesterday and asked for disks for grinding wood, the guy said they only offer Metal and Masonry and don't sell anything for angle grinding wood. Wondering what grinder disk/grits, surfaces or add-on's I should look for so that I can sand grind (and even chunk out details like I saw you do in another video I think on bear carving. Maybe a description or URL that I can Google.
The disks Eric used are designed for metal and masonry but work just fine on wood. I believe that Eric is using 4 1/2", 36 grit, aluminum oxide disks. You can order them on Amazon.
My 2cents... cedar cedar cedar :) I love cedar! And quite honestly so does my saws! I started carving cherry and fur! But now that I’ve carved cedar I don’t mess with much else but cedar! It’s soft smells good and holds up great in the elements!
@@amandanoel143 or Eric, I have several year Ash and Red Maple trunks (Toronto grown, eh! :-) ). They were cut between 18 months ago and 2 months ago. Will they hold up if I try to carve them with my chainsaw? Is there anything we should watch out for, be careful of, or do differently when attempting to carve such woods?
You are one of the best carvers on you tube ,❤ great stuff, learning a lot.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I don't have anyone around me to apprentice under and these have been so helpful!!!!
