This is the saddest moment ever in FT for me because I really really love Juvia and ship Gruvia with everything I have. I remember reading chapter 499 on my birthday and just cried and cried until the next chapter was released. The anime version is great but didn't really gave that much impact since she was healed minutes later in the ep by Wendy but it still made me cry though. Thank you for this vid!!!
The lack of flashbacks also hurt the anime version. Seeing all the panels of them together reality hits home the tragedy of it all. Plus the final panel of Gray screaming with Juvia smiling back at him.
You know, when I read the manga for this episode, I yelled and I screamed. Juvia may be annoying to some but she also brings a whole lot to the guild, and to Gray. And when Gray held her in his arms, I couldn't hold back my tears. Not only because Juvia was dead, but because important people in Grays life ended up dying somehow and it hurt how he had to suffer once again.
I badly need a dose of GrUvia angst today and this just made my day though it broke my heart as well! The music and the scenes were perfect fit. Kudos.
