I decided to try out the Capital One Lounge instead of my usual Admiral Club Lounge to checkout the difference. The service and food choice was particularly a standout in comparison. When traveling internationally, there is nothing better than a fresh shower right before boarding your international flight. The shower, food, service and any food you wish to package up and take on your plane is completely worth the $65 if you don't have the Capital One card for free access.
Never been in a lounge but if they got these in more airports I might be interested in the credit card just for access. Airport food is expensive and sometimes it's hard to find an outlet or a comfortable place to sit. And if you get a long delay, being able to hang out in a lounge could really improve your day.

@@christopherlee. I like it. Getting points for my rent payment which is my number one expense. Points can transfer to Hyatt so it supplements my Chase points. I also like chess so I enjoyed your post about it too :).
819 Credit score Capital one said NO to the X card for me. It seem high credit with no debt =no thank you. I live in Dallas and may check it out with a friend.
@@christopherlee. When I applied I had not had any for over a year. Lot's of chat on high credit scores and Capital one turning you down. HA they do not like us who pay the card off each month. Oh well :)
What I mean by that is that I had a go around with them a year ago, and they are still emailing me saying I am pre-approved. I nice lady explained a mind-boggling array of options. However, the names attached to them can be misleading. Whereas, the platinum Amex card iws a premium card, which doesn't mean it's worth the price, platinum on other cards can be the lowest.

Seeing how packed the Centurion lounges are, I'm glad this is under the radar. Cap1 definitely needs more of these especially here on the east coast.

Yeah hopefully they build more of them, but the credit card also gets you access to priority pass and plaza premium lounges which is also pretty good

Yeah it’s definitely important to pick a card for its actual benefits and utility, and not because it’s named “platinum” or “premium”
I think the premium card may be the worst card, but I could be wrong about that.

Correct! When we went, they had a scanner and scanned our boarding pass

@@christopherlee. the centurion lounges are really nice. I got the card for the sign up bonus and I plan on doing more traveling starting this year.

Yes- only one operational one right now but they’re almost done building two more in Denver and DC. Hopefully, more to come!
