The yacht Al Lusail was built by Lurssen in 2017. The superyacht is designed by H2 Yacht Design.
Her owner is the Emir of Qatar. His father - the former Emir - owns the yacht Katara

Saw this beginning of July this year while we were docked on the Marella Discovery 2....it came into port then rapidly out again chased by the port pilot! Absolutely huge yacht, a beauty !

This is just an awe inspiring mega yatch. The craftsmanship and design is so authentic. It’s huge but not vulgar. I’ve seen it in many of you tube video and it was even on Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean season 3 episode one. It was featured for like 10 seconds, some obnoxious charter guests from the show thought it was ok to jump in the tender with a bottle of champagne and go around to yatch’s and ask to come aboard and this was one that quickly and swiftly turned them away😂😂‼️. Would love to see this amazing vessel in person one day.

Beautiful boat. Some owners of these boats employ a lot of people and own/run businesses many of us just couldn't do, so don't bother putting them down. Its their money too, so if they wish to live on a luxurious craft, that's just fine. I own a close to concourse Merc AMG, but never hear people saying anything negative...

It looks nice but also looks like a Niki tennis shoe. I would get rid of the lower arch on the hull and that wavy pattern on the hand rail to the main deck.

Do they simply avoid those areas?
Do they have an armed security detail aboard?
Can you imagine how easy it would be for armed pirates to board that thing?
Yes, when they do pass, they do it quick. Radars that give their location to public sites are turned off. All lights are off at night and they have armed security onboard during the crossing in danger area.

Does this yacht have two names?? It says Al-Waseel on the back in Arabic. The 'و' can be pronounced as an 'oo' or a 'w' depending on the word. This case it's pronounced 'w'

a perfect example of the decadence of the world.
PeterNGloor why can’t the super rich enjoy their money if this is what it affords them. Many many of the 1% give a lot of their moneys to charity besides being able to afford such luxury. Not to mention all the jobs and employment it took to create this ship and all the employees it takes to run year round. I just get so bored with people who shame wealthy people for what they have. I by no means am even close to being wealthy or even rich for that matter but I don’t fault them or think ill of them for spending their millions the way they see fit.
What do people do to make this kind of $ ??
Either these people made their fortune themselves,through a groundbreaking invention,by building up a very successful and often worldwide known business,by stock-trading or through sports. Especially the two latters ones however will require you to be one of the very best in the world! These are the options that come to my mind but maybe there are also other opportunities.
Or you didn´t make your money by yourself but were simply lucky to be born in a ultra wealthy family ;)

The title should read: “Mega Yacht” not “Super...”.
The industry uses the word Super, though I have thought that many times, there is a certain length they could use for the separate designation though, this one is rather short in length, it is quite spectacular looking especially when they turn the lights on! 12:32
