Leonard Rossiter can be seen on the big screen in two Kubrick movies, 2001 & Barry Lyndon. A top actor his delivery of the lines in Rising Damp was so precise they had to write extra dialogue to fill time. An amazing talent and sadly, despite being a very fit man, died of a heart attack aged 57.
Cannabis ain't no "artificial stimulant" - weirdly, this is still a pretty good example of a Brit-jesus-"nutter". It's very similar to Fawlty Towers, I guess this is the ITV (other main channel back in the day) version... Damn, I'm OLD asf, I can remember when there was BBC1, BBC2 and ITV (+ some regional add ons for local news - but they were kinda anchored to BBC or ITV). I'm a 80s/90s kid. Racism definitely existed during this time, but most (white/"native") families are mixed these days + Family's FAMILY and more to the point, strangers are just strangers, someone you might chat to if you're waiting for the bus/queueing whatever. Stuff still isn't perfect, but we're a pretty chilled country on that front - at least until a bunch of idiots kicked off because they're social-media-mongs. Anyway... I kinda forgot this programme existed - I was little when this was on, but it's funny asf + the characters are hilarious. Perrin's such a sleazebag lol *You need to link to your Patreon + stuff in your youtube "About" section - some stuff on there I wanna watch + I'm too stoned/lazy to search 😂😂😂 Blog post -lol, sorry 😅🤣
You are a good sport for giving these old shows a chance.
