Also a quick update - they fixed the timer thing I complained about on the software side. If you hold the button while plugging in the grinder, it will do on/off grinding instead of a timer. Big win!
"Obssessed luxury goods" channel is probably needed
Always an honor. This is great - really an awesome starter grinder. I will be recommending this thing to anyone looking to get into making solid coffee at home. Think of it like the Active 2.0 - one of the best ways to get into the rabbit hole. It'll do what you ask, but you will start asking questions it may not have the answer to...
Why are my worlds crossing over 🤯
I have a Bodem burr grinder I have had for many years. Like 10-15 I'm guessing. I was looking to upgrade to the Ode gen 2, but then I saw this one. While I don't do espresso currently, this keeps my options open if I want to head in that direction. Nice review. Thanks.
My wife and I are coffee fanatics and are pretty fussy and discerning about our morning brew. We have had pretty much every coffee machine, system and method available and over the last 44 years of marriage have ALWAYS come back to a Presto Electric Percolator. $65 bucks, simple, easy and makes the perfect pot of coffee every single day! I respect Matt's opinions when it comes to cars and car care - but when it comes to coffee, simple is better - and WE are experts at coffee! A HOT pot (not luke warm which many coffee makers are guilty of) delicious (not bitter) 100% consistent coffee is what we get every morning. We like using Eight o'clock Columbian Peaks - our long time Fav. You can take all the fancy, high priced gizmo'percolator
Me: watching a video of a 195$ coffee grinder, while grinding coffee by hand 😁👍🏻
same! I’m looking for an electric replacement for Kinu M47
The amount of boomers that aren't willing to accept that their way of making coffee is inferior and that spending more time with the correct techniques and equipment will yield a better result.
haha, yep!
Would the Opus be an upgrade from the Encore with the original m3 burrs?
I was wondering the same thing
Three year warranty is great too
So when are they really going to step up and get a Weber workshop EG-1?
working on it... lol
End of comment below cut off - so here is the rest: You can take all of the fancy and expensive gizmo's and gadgets and toss 'em all! There are even times I still make coffee on my stove top with an old fashioned stainless steel percolator. Comes out absolutely great - just takes double the time of the Presto electric. When it comes to coffee, K.I.S.S.

review coming soon.
Hipsters and their coffee!
Conical burrs for espresso, not exactly.
in the home setting makes more sense. more forgiving
@@Coffeehaus I disagree, terrible grind size distribution from conicals
@@Coffeehaus Counting on you to properly educate Matt's audience, not just to promote price friendly products for Matt to place into his store. There's a price for every "hobby", please don't lower your high standards just so OG can make a sale.
Definitely agree. Introducing starter items like this help demonstrate the range of products we like along the way. This is more akin to an active 2.0, for example… the goal is to have identified the full spectrum of OG- spec products.
This is just getting silly now
I doubt most people would tell the difference, even some coffee enthusiasts will find that to be true. I've resorted to an automatic coffee machine, no time to go through 20 steps just so I can finish my drink in 5 minutes..
Interesting grinder. Incorrect use of the word 'materiality' a few times to describe its construction definitely made me cringe.
Broken after 5 months. Wouldn’t recommend
Matt, send one to Matt Hoffman to review.
