In todays vlog I wake up bored and couped up in my Los Angeles apartment. I spend a lot of my time dreaming about all of the cool places I want to go, then my friend Kiersten tries to convince me to buy a flight to Seattle and come home that night. Surprisingly, tickets were cheap- I weighed my options, thought about what would be best for me and.. I did it! I bought a ticket, packed up, and found myself in Seattle just 4 hours later. Lately I've been loving going back to Seattle, it's a great place for me to be and it's pretty easy to get there, so why not do what makes you the happiest?! Whether people think it's crazy or not, it's simple really.. choose what makes you the most happy.
Welcome to my first vlog of My Millennial Life Crisis, or MLC for short. MLC is also short for Monica Lucy Church, my name! I'm hoping to get into daily vlogging. I'm not sure if I will be able to keep it up, but here goes nothing. I'm just a 20 something year old girl who dropped out of college to pursue a lifestyle on the internet. Lately I've been waking up finding myself unsatisfied with what I am doing. Like most people my age, I have no clue what to do with my life. I know what I'm good at and what I want out of life, so it's time to make a change. For the iced coffee: Make a batch than store in the fridge for a couple hours until cold! Then drink it with ice! Thats how coffee shops do it. :)
I love how genuine these vlogs are. I always think youtubers have their life together and now I see that you're just as confused about what you want to do with your life as I am! It's nice to see that side of you.
this vlog has me fulfilled with inspiration. in the beginning of 2016 i told myself i would be spontaneous and travel.... i don't travel...why? I'm scared? thats probably the most valid reason i can think of...but i have 5 planned trips this year and i can't explain how happy that makes me. choosing happiness and doing something about the feeling you have is SO inspiring to me in so many ways.

What you need to do to get the best iced coffee is freeze coffee and use that as your ice. That way once it melts it won't water down your coffee.
+jewel collins Woah yes. except I don't want to have to remember to freeze the coffee ice cubes you know?!
+Monica Church just make your coffee twice as strong, then put the ice in. that's what they do at starbucks
+Monica Church you can also make coffee the night before put it in the fridge and drink it with icecubes the next morning!

My iced coffee trick: Brew it the night before and if you like it sweet add a lil sugar to the hot coffee so it dissolves then refrigerate till morning and pour over ice! VOILA! Make mornings taste better 😊
I actually went through a similar thing you are going trough right now, I always went home on the weekends (but it's only a 1 hour train ride) and last year I finally decided to move back to my home town and trust me it's the best decision I ever made! I think moving back to Seattle would help you come to peace with yourself! haha that sounded weird, but I hope you get what I mean!
I have a life hack for the iced coffee! Instead of using regular ice cubes, pour coffee into an ice cube tray until it freezes. Then you can put the coffee ice cubes into your hot coffee without it getting watered down! Hopes this helps a ton of people who enjoyed iced coffee as much as I do, haha! :)

iced coffee tip ! freeze cubes of coffee and poor the hot coffee over that, stops it from being watered down.
Can I just say that your life crisis is so relatable , being in your 20's is difficult and trying to find where everything fits in with your life and finding what to do with your life is hard, but your videos make me realize I'm not the only one who's going through something .

Put coffee in an ice tray and freeze it then instead of putting ice in your cup put the coffee cubes in there and once they melt your coffee will still taste the same. If that made sense 😂

I couldn't agree more. You being happy is what matters and I think at one point in your life your going to have to say what truly makes you happy? what would make you happy everyday? and if that's home in Seattle then that's where you should be. BE HAPPY and everything else will just be a work in progress like life is.

Monica I relate to this vlog so much! I'm just finishing my second year of college where I live an hour and a half drive away from home. I ended up driving home like every weekend even though people at school judged me and made me feel bad for it.

I'm from Washington, yet I live in Tennessee right now. I miss it so much, I know I'm always happy when I go back to WA to visit. It's like a breath of fresh air the moment I step off the plane there. I'll be visiting in August so that couldn't come soon enough! I'm happy for you! Go out and travel!
