@@carlosandleon To make it clear Ukraine appeared on the map first in 17th century and was the size of the mosqito. Then Rus Empire expanded it and the territory was called Malorossiya, than Rus Empire collapsed, the territory wanted a separation, all of a sudden remembered that stupid Ukr name, was denied by communists, was allowed to keep that name, and again was expanded greatly by then Soviets. Long story short - yes, the Russians build the whole things. And yes, locals were always Russian as well. Your example of the young country of the immigrants doesn't really fit when we talk about nations more that a millenia old.
@@carlosandleon Most of them were and are Russian, the Engineers , Artisans etc. returned to Russia so try again also if US breaks up you are all Statesians and not Americans as that is a hemisphere name and not a country.

I think they try and set things up so that when one big urban battle ends another is just beginning.
That way there's no relent from these significant set piece battles where Russian firepower just gradually decimates the highly concentrated Ukrainian army which is basically like sitting ducks in an artillery/fab pocket with increasingly strained supply in and out.
This war is very complex what's wrong with these two nations they are too smart but too violent

A lot of people (including me) initially assumed its Su-34 carrying these FAB-3000 and that is probably true. However we are forgetting the Tu-22 bomber can carry 50,000+ lbs which is easily four, but maybe even six or *eight* of these monster bombs, and since it is supersonic it can release then turn-n-burn just like a Su-34 can. Russia has almost 500 Tu-22s...there will be no practical limit to how many of these things will be falling from the sky eventually. At 2:26 you can see that the adjacent bldg to the north of the blast exploded a second after the initial blast, while a similar size bldg to the west of the main blast did not. AFU was storing something explosive in that bldg to the north...

Regarding the landscape, natural barriers, forces and firepower advantage the russian enjoys. It is unlikely, the uaf will be able to push back the russian from vovchansk.

Fact is Russian's had the surprise on this move. It started it May 10th. That they are still here in July is a failure in any fair analysis. If it was an Ukrainian offensive you'd be calling it failed.
Since ofc ur advancing in other fronts ,so the move worked...
Success and failure are all based on the goals of the operation. Ukraine stated their goal was to cut the land corridor and they failed. Russia said they wanted to create a buffer zone and they have. This was a diversion offensive to draw manpower away from other fronts, 10k troops cant take Karkiv and it was never expected to do more than seize undefeated territory and draw Ukrainian reserves. Ukraine willingly feeding a clear meatgrinder across a river with 4x the troops committed than the Russians is just a major bonus.
