  • Performing finite element analysis (FEA) has become the norm with the availability of computing power. It is an essential tool for any development phase of any project. This is not limited to classic industrial applications but is common in medical, fluid and civil fields too.
    Simple structures and parts can be analysed assuming small deformations and linear materials. However, this is often not acceptable, such as when parts undergo yield due to high loads or when materials like rubber are used. Specifying the correct material for its application is directly related to how accurate the results are. But why use material non-linearity and what are non-linear materials?

    Hi, thanks for your video. i have a questions regarding the uniaxial data and biaxial data for elastomeric materials. where did you get the data? can i have one? i am currently working on my master thesis for developing a emergency hatch seal of an aircraft and i need to simulate the seal on abaqus, that is the reason i want to know, how did you get the data. thank you so much for your reply.
