Ugh I wish you were in LA. I airbrush at a salon right now and the owner (who doesn't do airbrushes) gives me so much shit because he's "been there forever" and his wife "has been doing airbrushes for 9 years" (cool. I've been doing them for 10.) and first of all, the airbrush room had never been cleaned a SINGLE time in those "9 years" after a spray. It's taken me a week of shifts just to get the thick layer of sludge off the immediate surroundings. Not to mention the room is totally closed off to prevent spray drift, so no A/C gets in there and the lights get HOT which makes my customers start to sweat and prevents the solution from adhering properly. According to him that is also somehow my fault. As I've been trained to do and done at every salon I've worked at, I clean the gun at the end of my day if it's been used. This INFURIATED him. They leave the cups with the solution in them on the guns! Until they're used again! And don't clean them! Or clean ANYTHING! And it's impossible to tell him anything because he absolutely does not listen. Anything I say is irrelevant. And I would KILL for you to come and evaluate that room, the machine, the gun, and techniques to let them know they're not doing any of it right. Ugh
I'm sorry you are going through that frustration! You should tell him to hire me ;) I do go to salons to help them set up or continue their education!

Also, is there a machine that can do both? Hvlp for the base (face & body) compared to foundation for makeup and airbrush for contouring (face & body)or do I have to get 2 machines? I'm planning on doing mobile tanning
