    0:00 Intro
0:05 1999 Ford Crown Victoria. The customer's brother apparently cut open the catalytic converters to gut them out and this is how he "patched" the holes. The technician said it surprisingly had an exhaust leak.
0:19 The technician said: "No, we never actually found out why. The long story is that it belonged to a friend of the shop owner's son and the car was dead in the driveway so they sent a salesman out to jump-start it and drive it back to the shop. The car went into limp mode on the way back and we noticed all the smoke. That's when we checked the oil and found it massively overfilled. We filled our 5-gallon oil container about halfway with what came out. We never actually talked to the customer directly."
0:37 Luckily it just needed that 1 spark plug installed and it was fine.
0:51 In case you're wondering. A crankcase ventilation system removes unwanted gases from the crankcase of an internal combustion engine. The system usually consists of a tube, a one-way valve, and a vacuum source (such as the inlet manifold).
1:15 The technician said: "I believe the customer did that himself. From my investigation the truck was in an accident and the customer decided to "repair" the truck on his own. The customer declined all recommendations.
1:42 Unsure of the cause of failure but will give an update in a future video if we get one.
1:58 Brake rotors and brake pads are non-existent as you can see.
Which caused the caliper piston to come out and caused a brake fluid leak as well. Very scary that the customer was driving like this.
2:11 The technician said he's not sure who worked on the brakes last.
2:25 The technician said: "Nobody got hurt, the wheel came off in a parking lot, minutes earlier he was on a highway, that would have been bad. I think the lug nuts were loose."
2:32 Since the customer said the vehicle "jumped", I'm thinking that the driveshaft came off and got caught on something and the vehicle jumped in the air as the customer described. Unfortunately, we didn't get the full story from the customer.
2:44 No extra info, but it looks unsafe with all those rocks and garbage.
2:51 The technician said: "early 2000s GMC Sierra came in for brake lines and I pulled the wheels off and noticed the shock mounts that also hold up the gas tank are completely rusted through. Along with terrible rust on the front end. The customer said he had someone put new shocks in for him less than 1 year ago and never told him about the shock mounts."
3:05 Update from photos in the last video.
3:19 It was sitting on the showroom floor of a dealership in Memphis Tennessee when the dealership closed. They left the car there at the dealership and it has sat there since. (Happened two years ago the person said).
    3:38 Outro. Thanks for watching!

Seen alot of bad welding but nothing like that , he must of went through an entire box of welding rod to get that growth . We love to watch others do some crazy things but i have to admit i was one of those guys who hooked up a hose some where it shouldnt and i am suppose to be a licensed tech although i wasnt quite there yet when this story happened . Didnt have cell phones thankfully back then or i would be on this channel for all to see . I will make it quick . I was working on the washer nozzles of a Cavalier where the metal transmission vent tube is mounted right beside the washer jug on the left tower but the rubber vent hose from the trans was not hooked up to this tube but was lying down at the bottom of the strut tower . I dropped the hose from the washer motor down beside where this other hose was lying , which i didnt notice . I grabbed the wrong hose hooked it to the washer motor and let the wipers and washers rip . Emptied the jug but no washer fluid came out or was running on the floor so i took an air hose with a nozzle and started to pressurize the hose to see what was up . I could hear the air going somewhere but couldnt figure it out so i laid on the pressure . A minute later the transmission dip stick came shooting out hit the wall and covered me in trans fluid . At least i knew where all the washer fluid went , trans service and flush and i learned a valuable lesson i remembered the rest of my career . Sorry for the novel ..

Drug (Left in park) behind a Motor Home. Not sure how fast or far. Ground wheels down to the center, struts, radiator and trans pan were almost gone. To add insult to injury. Tow drive was having trouble unloading the car at the Dealer. So backed up and hit the brakes. Car slid off and right into a Brick wall. Customers insurance company, reluctantly paid for the damaged of being towed in park. Tow driver's insurance paid for the other damage.

@@SweBeach2023 That is a very good question, I suppose the reason it came in like that is because when cars come in for estimates the estimators do what they do without stepping in the car most of the time. Even upon drop-off the vehicle is documented and recorded with a camera for any further damages on the outside(plenty of people always try the "that wasnt there", some may not have noticed prior damages but still point it out on pickup). Once the car is in our posession we do a prescan of the system for any system errors that may or may not be there from the accident, I think it was after the car was dropped of did that get noticed.
