It's still too early to be looking at toons, because Manthing and Karen is still out there too. Then new raid teams are still coming this year as well.
Ppl are underestimating the effects of purple iso. You have to remember we have a convoluted progression system. That means purple iso striker with the new stats is probably going to be absolutely devastating.
I don’t think Prof X is gonna need Logan and Odin and the other two big characters from the splash screen. I think it’s just to signify the MAJOR character releases before X launches, kind of like an overview of the Age of X rather than showing the requirements like Apoc’s screen did.
I’m guessing the event store with purple iso will also finally have red gear. That way players have to choose between progressing in dd7 or dd8. That might be a tough decision for many players.
The vast majority of the players haven't even started DD7, let alone finished it once, let alone twice...and those trait reqs look really haphazardly thrown together.
Odin was the next Legendary, he is in the Age of X graphic with OML. They clearly changed their minds because maybe having Prof X as the DD8 reward was too soon. Or maybe DDs are huge moneymakers, and they are rushing DD8 out for some new cash.
So what next red,black,white etc isos,scopely gonna turn all the rainbow colours into isos in the future😂😂.Maybe we may even see diamond isos too as one of the comments below mentioned😂.
Why TF are they already announcing DD8 when less than 1% of the player base even has Mephisto unlocked? Crimson gear is still significantly limited. They're really testing their player base with all this focus on krakens. Insert gif of Dr. Strange saying "We've entered the end game" of this game.
Will be interested to see how lvl 100 g18 characters with purple iso 3 will fair on the nodes. CM_Stark confirmed no gear tier requirements for dd8. Newer characters with the new stat boost should have no problem.
I'm happy it's no new lvl cap and gear... At least this is something we can grind at the same time as red gear. Only question is will new raids require it as well... That would change prio order of gearing up. Safe teams to do first than would be spider society, xtreme and hive mind toons
I think they should have the annihilation team negate mythic and legendary toons in arena so they don't have to give them crazy stats and abilities to be able to beat apoc, Logan, skrull, and mephisto. I'm not sure how they will make them able to beat them, I just worry it's gonna hurt the game if they overpower them
All this says to me is that it’s going to take 6 months to a year to actually be able to start participating in dd8. Dd7 is still not completable at this point.
bruh nah thatd ruin the progression Like all you have to do is wait for the second level of red gear and teal gear will be even more available, remember when gearing to t15 took a solid month per character? well now you can just slap 15 on everyone and hell even 16-17 nowadays

Yea scopely is definitely getting me burnt out of the game with the pace they push stuff out just constantly grinding and building stuff and I don’t get that just play the game feeling and enjoy…its constant trying to keep up with building something
I think that that is not the problem, the problem is the easy way characters fall to a thrash situation in the game, is super annoying building characters that are going to be useless later in the year or next one 🙃
The purple ISO is trash. This is absolutely ridiculous that they would put this forward with this trash. I just got done saying they need to back down on the damn stats and focus on adding new things to characters. The numbers are just getting pointless.
i already called this 2 months ago. i told me old alliance how they would probably make a new raid based around odin and they would bring in the new purple T3 iso and it be a requirement. i hate how i speak things into existence

The closer to endgame you get, the faster it will be. Dd7 will be a roadblock for sure tho

I dont have an issue with Odin being a Mythic. In my opinion he is much more then a Legendary and deserves to be a Mythic type character.

From the sounds of it DD8 will be easier to enter than DD9 given the first 3 levels of purple iso-8 cost the same currency

Iso purple for fortifier if you get it to 3 clear 2 vulnerable on the turn and 3 percent more barrier I think barrier isos for purple might be op
