HYPER ‘Hippie’, Ashlan, 20, grew up hunting in the woods and watching Harry Potter, which has inspired her bohemian, “forest fairy” aesthetic. Though she has explored various subcultures when it comes to her style, Ashlan states that she has always struggled to feel “feminine” and has often been called “homeless” due to her baggy and patchwork clothes. But, at the same time, she grew up watching shows like “America’s Next Top Model” and “Mean Girls”, causing her to feel “self conscious and not girly enough” to pull off a catwalk look. Today, Ashlan will be revealing her new look to her Mom, Kim and friend, Grace - will they like her more as a catwalk model? Will Ashlan finally feel confident to pull off a runway ready outfit?

Shes the only one ive seen so far that is actually styled nicely and the makeup isnt tacky either. Both styles are cool, she has pretty face that matches both looks so well
Agree. The stylist did great. I think one of the things that made her transformation better than many of the other videos here is that they didn’t put a bad wig on her. Some of the others looked great but the wig is always cheap and tacky 😬

I really like that they kept a loose, comfy with the suit, but still somehow made it look like a power suit! It kept the vibe of her overall style which is why I think it fit her so well.

I honestly love her style. My mom used to make a lot of her own clothes in the 70's (she's amazing at sewing) and Ashlan's style reminds me of some of the items my mom described that she made.

Coming from someone who used to assists in wardrobe on photo shoots, she has incredible individual style for someone so young. Not easy to pull off. She can wear any look that she wants, will be interesting to see how she evolves over the years, as long as she keeps up with her health, she will always be a stunner.

Her Bohemian look is not odd, it is normal because she doesn't look like a Freak show the way I saw other Transformation shows. Tbh Idc how anyone dresses or looks because we're all different and people who dress like extreme freakish are brave. They're dressed like Halloween all year around. Anyway she is beautiful either way and shouldn't care about what other people think.
She most definitely pulls off both looks but she's just genuinely gorgeous and could be a model and pull off any look.

She is so lovely. ❤ I so loooove her hippie vibe...but i also really love her naturally beautiful (perfect canvas) face with a little color and framed with jewelry, in addition to the hair that exposes more of her pretty face! Her transformation would appear to be rather simple but i hope the experience flicked a life changing switch to allow herself more space for opportunities in her aesthetic that she'd been prior counting herself out of.
Beautiful! FINALLY - an individual who can embrace more than one side to them! I was starting to get a little depressed by some of these vid reveals. BUT I also loved her “crunchy” look. Her Boho style was totally feminine. Gave me vintage Free People vibes.

I think the transformation was quite underwhelming. Partly because I wasnt sold on the oversized jacket or those earrings. And in part because Ashlan's boho look really isnt that odd to begin with . Her pretty face is nicely framed with her natural hair and the way she does her makeup is pretty and quite natural as is and suits her and quite "normal". Her clothes style is a bit more quirky and her individuality stands out, but it's quite unatrusive really. I've seen some transformations where the person has looked unrecognisable from their before look due to that look involving heavy makeup, tattoos, piercings etc. I do admire her for trying something different. I liked the trousers and the colour suited her.
I think the makeover looked perfect for her. The jacket is fashion forward and her makeup amazing!

I find it interesting that a lot of the ones that get transformed are most concerned that their mother's would love the new look.

You know, one thing I think would be cool, and she can DEFINITELY pull it off, is sort of a mix between the two styles, boho and glam. Dressing certain boho looks up, or dressing some glam looks down, I think it would be a really interesting effect!
