Yeah that UFO test didn't show anything, you'd have to take a still photo and compare the perceived motion blur to get any sort of useful information. A 30 fps youtube video will not be able to show the smoothness of this monitor or likely any monitor for gaming. Seriously there doesn't need to be so much b-roll of the monitor because it's quite literally impossible to judge how good it looks with the limits of youtube and your own monitor, I'd rather just hear you talk about it and how you think it compares to other monitors. I'm most likely going to buy this as I (as well as most people buying a 240hz monitor) can tell it's a fantastic monitor, but the majority of this review was useless to watch. Go over the build quality more, compare it to other monitors, try the vesa mounting, or even recommend good color settings for people considering purchasing.
@@CCProofPlayerfyi been running this monitor now on a 7900XT and 7800X3D, I can confirm thats it's a sick 240hz mini led. Awesome for fps, does HDR well, not gonna find a better 240hz for the price anywhere.
@@realcat08 Yeah I love it, not gonna find much better for the price. Little bit of ghosting with the VA but it's ignorable. It's crazy bright and sometimes makes me think it's oled with the contrast. Also on sale at amazon rn
You didn't mention in your review how bright the monitor can get. I know it's advertised as HDR 1000 but I was hoping you would have tested that as some monitors can't achieve their advertised brightness.
I doubt it's a marketing ploy, it's a Mini LED monitor, and any monitor running that sort of panel gets very bright. I suspect the low price has more to do with where the manufacturer is based rather than its quality. What I would like to know is if it actually hits 1000 nits of brightness as a lot of monitors can't reach that advertised brightness level

I can say it's so damn bright at times I have to look away. If the sun for instance in Witcher 3 comes into central view it's like accidently looking at the sun for real. I'm gonna pass on HDR until I figure a way to perhaps reduce its intensity as no joke it actually seems to me that mini led with HDR is legit dangerously brightj

Mini LED seems to have an issue using HDR and VRR at the same time, this is the 3rd different Mini LED monitor I've seen that can't do it properly. @@acurisur well that's really unfortunate, I'm more into fast paced competitive games but starting to explore solo titles where those two things might be very important to me. maybe, it depends on if the VRR works with the Mini Led backlight on, there were multiple complaints on reddit about the fact that the mini led backlight would switch to a normal LCD backlight when stuff like GSYNC, FreeSync and Adaptive sync were turned on, so if the firmware updates haven't fixed this issue then its going to be as good as a normal 1440p 240hz VA. That being said, I'd get it over the Odyssey G7 since it's cheaper and it will be better for watching HDR content despite the fact that the G7 is a qled vs a normal lcd and it has a chance to have a firmware update to fix the issue in the future.
