Thank you for this video. I loved everything you made for 2023. It was kind of funny, but, I remembered each item, as you showed them. I have learned so much from all of your designs. Thank you so very much, Catherine.🤗🤗🤗
Thank you, Catherine, for sharing with us your upcycling journey and your prized outcomes for 2023! It's always such a pleasure to have you visit with us, as you share your wins and your frustrations. It's like hanging out, over a project, with a good friend. blessings on your 2024!
Thanks, Catherine! Because of you and your wonderful videos, I was able to resize some of Mike's shirts that no longer fit him after his heart surgery. I took them in at the sides and made the sleeves smaller and they are now his favourite shirts! Thank you so much because I never would have found the courage or had the know-how to do the alterations.
Another great video - thank you so much for all the effort you put into making them. Your projects are so inspiring. Especially loved hearing about your needle felting sweater. It's truly gorgeous!
Thank you, Catherine, for all your videos! Could you please give updates on your group fashion trip? For all of us who won’t be going, we’d love to be taken along through your videos!
Amazing work! Everything looks great on you. Thank you for all the videos. I enjoyed watching and learned a lot. Now I just to need to learn your persistence to keep working on a garment until It looks great on me.
Ive done a lot of what you do here but im 68 now. I have the arm issues, slightly overweight, big mom tummy from large babies! Im also more timid wearing textures and patterns together. Im glad to see how you wear items. I tend to wear everything with black pants or same pair of jeans. Its so hot where we retired to high desert I took my skirts I was not wearing and sewed them to tshirts to make summer dresses. I sewed at empire style line becuse of my less flattering waist but I know how to alter for a better look. Fish eye darts or more simply sew a box in middle like a pleat folded to one side. I do a lot oF V insets to fit tummy. Will buy 2 clearance tees in same color. Even to make camisoles fit. Im usually buying a junior tshirt in laces or velvets, sheers like you did and make new sleeves on tshurts to 3/4. I should capsulate my wardrobe more.
I adore watching your up cycle videos. I am gathering up T-shirts that I really like but do not fit me anymore. Some too big, some too small. I will be rewatching the videos so I can wear them again. Thanks so much ♥️
Thank you for sharing, I loved a lot of those tutorials and I am planning to try some myself. Personally I really appreciate short concise videos on upcycled wardrobes. A lot more curated then a 45 minute video.
I subscribed yesterday when I saw your blazer/sweater hack ❤ Now I’m inspired by your 2023 refashioned wardrobe. You are sew talented and creative. They all look so professionally re-made. Great job 👏
I loved alll of these too! You can really rock a racerback tee! And that black one with the red characters is awesome. My favorite of the whole year is the black sweater with the white flower. TBH I didn't love it cobwebby but I did love the inspiration piece. And now with the refashioning, it's astoundingly gorgeous!! Thank you for your fearlessness! 😍 You really inspire me.
Awesome pieces! And I notice you like gray. Me too. I like it a lot. I'm in the process of setting up a sewing area and your videos will serve as inspiration! When you were doing that jean tiered skirt, I kept thinking, "What is she thinking?" But it turned out fantastic. I learned a lesson. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? 😊
Some great items there Catherine , I love the skirt with the jeans top, I’m definitely doing that one for sure, I love up cycling items that I bought from charity shops Xx
All great pieces! I think the jeans with flannel plaid on bottom is my favorite! Might have to go back and review that video for next winter’s wardrobe! I need to get in the habit of doing projects a season ahead or at least early in the season! So much fun watching and planning… then eventually executing! Happy New Year to you too! 😊
Hi Catherine, You really inspire me and I must have missed the layered 'shirt' skirt because I now want to try and replicate that 🙏🤞 Thanks for sharing ❤
Have you tried converting and adapting bras? I'm very OK with my arms and upper back, but will not go braless unless I'm home alone. Hard to find the right configuration so they don't show.
Ive been watching your older videos. Funny I guess I was followng you before my old ipad died. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I was wondering though do you have items you made you find yourself not wearing? My style and material preference has changed a lot here in high desert. I cant really wear polyester at all now. But I save some blouses to lenghten other tops. I do donate. Something Ive sewn well but dont prefer any more I wont cut up. But...I also shop in my closet. Take 2 or more and blend together again! Would like to see what and why you didnt wear something. Would be interesting to me.
Ah, I see what you mean. Kind of the flip side of this video, as in “What I made but didn’t wear.” Maybe I’ll do that next time! Thanks for engaging so much with my channel. Your comments are always interesting!
I love them all but I have a few favorites that I really like. The sweater that you first had done with the roving, that is just the cutest sweater. I could never wear a razor back, I have sled dogs so my upper arms look more like they should be on Popeye but they are very cute and suit you well.
Thank you so very much for sharing your capsule! I have just recently watched most of the makes in your capsule. I do end up watching them over and over again 🤗. I really appreciated seeing your remake/alterations of some of them. I am so inspired by your work. I’ve even decided to try wearing some longer skirts like the ones you have shown. This morning I am going to size down the top portion of a dress. I enjoy this process so much. It’s really fun to look at some of my things and figure out hoe I might creatively improve them so that I will wear them more often. I have a question about your longer fuller skirts and dresses. Do you have issues with them getting under foot or dragging on the floor when you bend over or sit down? Thank you again for all you do. I feel so thankful to have found you🤗❤️
Loved the video. Also, just so you know, I just tried to use your link for US - Pilot Frixion Colors Erasable Marker - and they are "Currently Unavailable." If you will update your link to a set that is available - US - I'll hold off a few days before I buy them. Thanks!
I just read in Canadian Living that denim is Chic and Trendy so I'm wondering if you could show us how to convert a denim shirt into a sleeveless and tapered shirt for the summer, leaving the collar and the pockets (optional). I watch all your videos that come up on youtube. I love them! I've tried some too.
Did you draw the white flower or use a template? I like your work. Any chance you might be able to up cycle for friends that have different fit issues?
Thank you for this video. I loved everything you made for 2023. It was kind of funny, but, I remembered each item, as you showed them. I have learned so much from all of your designs. Thank you so very much, Catherine.🤗🤗🤗
Thanks so much, Lorraine! 😍

I've loved everything this past year and can't wait to see what you come up with in 2024!
I'm inspired to adapt items in my wardrobe. Thank you for sharing. Christine.
The summer skirt turned out prettier longer .
Love everything! ❤ You are a cute model.

That is so wonderful to hear! And I’m so happy to hear he’s doing well after his surgery! That makes my day! 🥰🥰🥰
What a wonderful collection of pieces to mix and match. I have been so inspired by you and all I've learned on your channel. Thank you Catherine. 🎉
oh Kathy, you are such a genius with needle and thread.❤
Loved your wardrobe. Great job and very inspiring. Thank you.

🥲😭😭 Sadly, the trip didn’t get enough participants to make it happen last summer, but I’m still hopeful that it’ll happen someday!
Hope you are as normal off camera as you are on camera .
You are positive and I love that... I feel like I know you of
Sounds good to me

I would love to see your take on creating a dress using men’s ties.
Lots of grey in your wardrobe - never goes out of style. I like when you pair it with red, which looks great on you.
You’re literally so cool. Forever wishing I had your sewing skills!
The way you can upcycle a sweater. I'm so inspired.
Your up cycles are great! You’re so creative!

You made many lovely items. The fact that they go together in different outfits is a plus.
Thank you Cathy, I love watching you❤❤❤
Really nice work! I love your sachiko jeans! You're so creative, thanks for giving tips and sewing ideas 😊
I love all your makes, but glad to see you updated the 'roving flower' jumper. It looks much better now. ❤
I agree, it looks like a high end boutique sweater. Just lovely!
Love your June top!!
Thanks for the recap!
Bonnie Ohio 😊
How fun!! And these are just your favorites, not everything you upcycled! Great job looking forward to 2024.
You gave me a couple of great ideas! Thank you!

I love how you see the possibilities in everything. I never would have thought of all the different things that you can upcycle!
Forgot to say happy new year! Hope this year is spectacular!

Hi Catherine, can you check out Net a Porter and choose an expensive outfit that could serve as an inspiration for your next up cycling.
I fine all of your videos to be informative AND a pleasure. Thank you.

Wow!
I have a pair of jeans, a candidate for that tiered skirt! Thanks!!
I think I will sashiko stitch the legs to a hoody, I've been wanting to do.
Yay!! ❤ it’s all so cute & clever.
Thank you for all your inspiration! I've really enjoyed seeing more since finding your videos!! ❤

Every item is fantastic! Thank you for sharing your creativity.
Beautiful ❤
Fab video. Thanks xx
Love your outfits- all so nice!
You have so many great ideas. If you made an upcycle book, I would buy it.
I’ll need to go back to January and watch the men’s cardigan remake. Always enjoy your videos.
I have made two of the denim pencil skirts from the denim video. I get lots of compliments on them❤️
That’s so great to hear!
I love the way you redo stuff.
Thankyou Catherine.. Very inspiring. Xx
Thank you for sharing with US your creative adventures! I had forgotten how much I learned from those videos😁.

Can you do before and after for the next year's reveal? I need the inspiration.😊

Can you give us some background information on how you became a sewing teacher at schools?
