ERIC KRASNO & OTIS MCDONALD - SUGAR MAGNOLIA

During the pandemic I was asked to create a new version of “Sugar Magnolia” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of the classic album “American Beauty” by the Grateful Dead. I had been working with the great Otis McDonald on my solo album and King Canyon projects at the time. Both Otis and I have spent time on the road with members of the Grateful Dead (Phil & Friends and Otis with the Mickey Hart Band) so it made perfect sense to pair up and make a funky version of this timeless classic.
