In this backyard fireworks video, I lit some old fireworks off! Some of the brands of fireworks in this video were phantom fireworks, black cat fireworks, and some other awesome brands of old Fireworks!
Definitely would love to see more of those multiple break shells.
Definitely will light the rest
Yeah vintage fireworks are always cool but at the end was awesome I’ve never seen a consumer multi break canister like that one before now I have thank you backyard Fireworks👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed, that was a cool one for sure!
That christmas fountain had some nice whistles. I love when fountains sound like that. Growing up, fountains used to have crazy whistles like that. Nowadays, most fountains are watered down, especially the whistles because apparently the whistles cause them to explode. 🤷♂
I remember as a 9 year old in the mid 60s hunting for used and unused fireworks after a public display at the park. I would find used singles like that and save them. I knew right of the bat you had multi break shells there. Hard to find stuff there buddy.

That multi break canister was nice. The multi whistle fountain was cool too. Hopefully you get some more vintage fireworks again.
Oh I definitely will
What a great video! 6 breaks on that shell was insane! And that whistle fountain was intense. Glad I didn't have head phones in. Lol. Keep up the great content!
That would’ve hurt 👂🙉 lol
Wow! Go get more like that last one. A lot of bang for your buck, ill bet. That was awsome!! Multiple breaks on one shell was great!!
Definitely going back to get more!
That last one was the best. 5 break shell was cool man
I was totally not expecting it to do that lol
Wow that last one was good
Cool vintage stuff! Can’t wait for ANY NEW shopping videos, it’s time to start restocking!
Ahaha right!
Vintage fireworks are really cool! Some of the things they would do were amazing! If you could see any of these fireworks go back into production which one would it be?? Personally, I like the glitter bomb! It would be a really nice addition to a cookout or outdoor party!
I would love the glitter bomb too! The only thing I would change would be the glitter stuff that pops out to biodegradable because it’s sooo hard to clean up
That was one hell of a crazy Christmas 🎄 fountain and the two canister shells especially the last one with five breaks awesome vid 😃👍
That Christmas one was crazyyyy
The older stuff apparently better than the new 👍👍👍👍
Wishing you all the best & stay safe with your fireworks from 🇦🇺🦘
I always love Black CAT
Me too, brings back so many memories
Thats cool old fireworks still working
The very first one you lit, Confetti Bomb, was produced by Black Cat Fireworks Company in the United Kingdom, and registered as a 'daytime Fireworks device' because it was fired in the daytime, so viewers could see the confetti...
Very nice video, thank you! I love vintage fireworks myself and score of them at garage sales from time to time.
That’s awesome!
The multi break cylinder shell was awesome!
So cool!
Those long boys were slick! Cool finds!
Thank ya!
Very cool man...love these kinds of demos
Yesss please get more. Save some for future generations or collect some just to keep
I definitely will!
So cool
That was cool
That’s very cool 😎, thank you
Definitely get some more of those 8in, multi break canister shells! Those were awesome!
That salami canister was incredible!! I've never seen a six breaker before! 👍
Same here!
This is one of my favorite videos from you!🔥💥☄️🧨🎆🎇
Thanks!
Oh my, that last canister shell had like 8 breaks!!! 🤪
Amazing video as always. Would love more vintage firework videos in the future ❤❤❤
I for sure will!
Loved Loved Loved the last mortar.
Pretty nice for old fireworks I like the Christmas fountain
Really cool old fireworks and yes if you can get some more of that old stuff reminds me of my youth. I am dating myself with this comment.
I’ll definitely pick some more up 👍👍
I always be buying older fireworks from the 80s and 90s because they have a lot more powder in them and their composition does not really change over time that much - water damage, however, can alter them. Sometimes at Yard, garage and estate sales, you'll see some.
I always go to these sales for old fireworks, sports cards, and old school video games.
2023 now fireworks July 4th happy 🇺🇸
That 6 break canister shell was awsome! I don't think I've ever seen anything like it for consumer fireworks.
Me either!
Last one was definitely good 👍
I'm 69. I've said for a long time that fireworks in my childhood were better and lasted longer. My kids kept telling me it was just nostalgia affecting my memory. But, these confirm what I believed.
5 break cannister shells. That was nice.
Whistles were so much better and longer back then in fountains, the original roaring lion fountain from the old phantom days, along with the old phantom cuckoo.
15 years perhaps 🎆🎆
Rip 😆
First bar code was 1974. Noticed the barcode on the artillery shell plastic top
That Christmas whistle was something special for sure
Very cool video!
Love the old stuff!
Thanks!
awesome video!
Thank you!
That last canister was awesome
That was a great and unique video! Thanks!!!
Glad you liked it!
Nice video love to see some old stuff !:)
Greetings ^^
The only good whistling fountain these days in Winda's Spartan Scream.
Hey backyard. Your videos never seize to amaze me! Love your content and your positive attitude always makes the videos that much better. Definitely my favorite firework channel. Keep making the awesome videos and you'll be up there with Cody one day!
Thank you (:
@@backyardfireworks of course man! When we gonna see some new content!?
Cool video
Thank you!
With the exception of the 2 silver colored tubes and the tiger head brand cake those fireworks were from the 2000 to 2005 range
Have to agree. They didn't use green fuse for mortars, mine were black match in paper pipping. Single shots looked old and maybe the cake.
@@jackfujita3206 yeah I remember the temple of heaven shells were black match in paper. I think I actually still have a few of those.
I;m 74, was a big fan of Black Cat when I was 8 years old...
Wow that’s awesome
Nice show bro
Thanks!
What’s up brother! I’m hooked on your videos. Quick question, do you know why a lot of fireworks are green and red ? Is it cheaper for them to make? That’s my theory anyway, love your videos keep going
They are definitely the easiest to make, and blue the hardest.
Do an A/B comparison between a pack of the current, crap, maximum 50mg flashpowder 1 1/2" flashcrackers and a pack made before 1976 when that 50mg limit was mandated by regulation. You may be amazed if you've never done that before.
Backyard when do you plan on uploading your next video? I'm excited to see more of the 6 break shells!
Really awesome fireworks! I think they should bring back some effects and models of vintage fireworks! Altough they would cost a ton nowadays because of the work they require to make them :(
Sooo true
Wow I've Never seen 5 breaks in one shell
Jump scare on that Christmas 1 ha.
That was sooo loud
Black cat had a nice 200 gram cake called celestial body fighting in the 80's,if you ever come across one of those get it. I used to get rockets when I was a kid called sky monkeys haven't seen those forever to.
My grandpa still has some og m80s and ash can firecrackers
Awesome!
If you could, could you please post mini artillery shells or canister shells?
Also great video 👍
Hmm. Based on those fuses, I'd not think they were 70 years old. I have crates full of 70 year old fireworks, and the single tubes usually had a harder red shelled fuse. These are still old though.
You have 70 years old fireworks? Are you a collector mate? :)
The one with the blue tubes are from Mexico
Really? Didn’t know that
Hello, pyro!!!
Hi!
@@backyardfireworks omg hi, why haven’t you posted??😭😭😭😭
@@backyardfireworks are you ok?
6 break firework shell, what was the name of this consumer product.
Apparently canister shell technology has dipped in recent years.
The technology has gotten better, it's just that the government keeps putting in new regulations.
@@teambeardo8816 Fukk em
@@dreadvenom1 agreed
Where did you get the vintage stuff from
He probably meant Gary's Fireworks in Lebanon Missouri not Columbia
You should have kept the old single shot tubes, those were the real vintage fireworks probably worth a pretty penny LOL. Got to hand it to Black cat for polluting this country with microplastics everywhere..
its my birthday came to watch vid
Happy late birthday!
can you tell me were you got them at
Bobs fireworks in Columbia Missouri
@@backyardfireworks cool
@@backyardfireworks yep bob is a cool guy
Where is Gary’s Fireworks located I’m in Columbia
thats what i want to know
I live just outside Columbia. You know of any year round stores besides Hannibal that sells good stuff?
@@chrisgann8347 I know a guy in Ashland,Mo who has great prices and nice stuff. He told me this year to come back whenever he’s always there
@@deseanbrasfield9109 open year round? I'm interested in taking a look at his stuff.
@@chrisgann8347 Yes sir. I will be headed up there in a week or so to get some stuff for my kids party. I will get his number for you
Really long for how little they are 🤔
Hopeful request, my debut single, “Dancing in Your Rain (feat. Bradley Scott)” - SNDRS is out on all streaming platforms. I'm an Atlanta based local artist. Would you please use it in one of your videos?! 🙏 be so sick! Thanks in advance!
Yeah vintage is 25 years or older. These are not but hella cool.
Nah bro the two silver tube with wood base are from ICC era that means 40 or 50 years old , So jeah those two tubes worth a lot for collectors
