Honestly, I for the first time in life visited Jaipur, Rajasthan in January, and the moment I reached first red light, I accidentally overstepped it because the red light was not visible as a Bus deboarding few of its passengers was standing in front of me. But the few policeman along with a lady policemen stopped and threatened me that they will suspend my licence and indirectly forced me to pay them money. After I paid the money, they suddenly became friendly and show me the way.
In my last trip to Rajasthan, i rented self drive zoom car. Once i entered Jaipur city, policeman stopped me saying that co- passenger isnt using seatbelt.. they fined me for १००० rs. I showed them multiple biker driving without hemlets n multiple car driver without seatbelts but she didn't listen.. why such different rules just for travelleres...😢

Honestly, I for the first time in life visited Jaipur, Rajasthan in January, and the moment I reached first red light, I accidentally overstepped it because the red light was not visible as a Bus deboarding few of its passengers was standing in front of me. But the few policeman along with a lady policemen stopped and threatened me that they will suspend my licence and indirectly forced me to pay them money. After I paid the money, they suddenly became friendly and show me the way.

In my last trip to Rajasthan, i rented self drive zoom car. Once i entered Jaipur city, policeman stopped me saying that co- passenger isnt using seatbelt.. they fined me for १००० rs. I showed them multiple biker driving without hemlets n multiple car driver without seatbelts but she didn't listen.. why such different rules just for travelleres...😢
Bhai aachar sahita mai maine bhi car le kar nikla hu, police ne bade aram se haath diya gadi side mai lena ke liya police officer door tak aaya checking karne hai achar sahita chal rahe hai, wajh batane ke bad normally details mangi, kaha se aa rahe ho kaha tak jana hai aur dikie khol kar check karwae uske bad, acknowledgement par sign kiya aur jane diya.
Police officer behaviour totally depends upon how he have taken training and instruction from senior seriously, senior also guide them the procedure of implementation.
Police in India is rather problematic than giving sense of safety for law abiding citizens.
