Chris, you're so correct about persistence. I began prospecting in May of 2017 and found nothing but tiny specks of flour gold for 4 months before finding a nice specimen nugget. I almost gave up but once I found the nugget I was hooked!
Come on Chris. I’m a North Queenslander (allergic to anything cold)and 4 days into a NZ South Island trip, the big burly Maori’s had the skinny 70kg’s Aussie in only my cammo shorts, swimming from a beach, diving for abalone. So I’m saying there’s no excuses to not give it all a crack (yes sniping to). Do they always have a fire ban or is a warm up fire frowned on. Come on Cobber your a bloody southerner 🍻🍻

Reminds me of a picture I saw, about two guys digging for diamonds. First guy quit after digging a huge hole but was so close to finding the motherload. Second guy had just started digging and was far away from the diamonds but he kept his spirits up.

Hi Chris, I really like your videos. I wanted to ask a question. If you find gold in different creeks and states does it matter if you mix it all up. I noticed in your video when you were weighing your 1st ounce that you had separate jars. Just wondering if gold from different areas is different quality like it can be in different countries. Sorry I am pretty new to all this.
You have one of the SE pans sold on Am,zon and they're not expensive, but I really like 2 different riffle sizes and I use them all the time. I can go through a pan of material in no time. Over the large riffles to get the larger stones off... over the small riffles to get the smaller stones off... then in between riffles to get the blonde and a good part of the black sands off. Are you finding that you like it as well?
Its funny how often you don't find squat all day, and then the last pan is the best. OR your first couple pans are awesome, and you spend the rest of the day chasing the dream. Why can't we just find gold all day every day lol?
Now I'm wanting to see more UA-cam prospector show mashups. You guys should head down to Northern California and have "Two Toes" Gary take you out to some of his locations -- oh, and bring along 911 Justin for some field geology lessons. :-)

gidday chris love your vids some advice needed have used a xterra705 all over bendigo area and nearby towns for no gold yet now have gm1000 should i go back to said areas and try again or go some where diff
It's a game of research and averages. Go back with the GM and take your time, it's super sensitive so dig all targets even if they are iron. Small gold will register as such.

Always wanted to move to BC. Ontario, Canada is pretty too, don't get me wrong. But it doesn't compare to the scenery in BC.
