We were in CR in 2015 and also visited this site. Just booked to return to CR this May. We just love it there. Great video.

Just to say we really enjoy all of your well crafted videos! Have you considered Coppery-headed Emerald instead of White-tailed Emerald? The decurved bill is a good feature for separating the two species. Keep up the great work!

This is awesome. Excellent footage. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of video camera were you using? I wonder if the brown snake was a Pink-bellied Litter Snake (Rhadinaea decorata) or maybe Urotheca guentheri.

@@guymarchal8660 oh cool. So that just screws into the Sony? I might have to buy something like that for my Canon. I was wondering how you got so close to the birds, thank you.

Thank you for sharing. Beautiful video that substituted as a virtual birding adventure given that we are prevented by traveling abroad

Hi Guy! Was that White-tailed Emerald recorded at Selva Verde? I'm hoping to visit CR in the next year and there are 0 eBird reports for that species north of San Jose. I think it would be the second-most northern record ever! Awesome find!

the female currasow seems more showy than the male, at least in this morph - how interesting! (I did feel like the all-black individual was the male just from the stance and behaviour, so had to double-check)
