My tibetan has just started barking in his bed, as he's heard the playful barking in vid, they are such clever dogs, I occasionally meet people with tibetan on walks etc, he accepts immediately his 'tribe',there are many times he's made me laugh like your dog does😁.
I really enjoyed your compilation! It's so special that you have so much footage from Rupert's first two years. He looks like he's up for any adventure! I'm curious as to what made you select such an unusual breed? I hope you have many wonderful years (and videos) together. God knows, we need dogs more than ever now.
What dog breed is Rupert's friend (the tan colored dog that's in the house with him a few times in the video)? Is that dog a visitor or does that dog live with Rupert? Trying to understand the relationship/behavior...trying to decide if we should add a TT to our family....
I believe you are talking about Buddy, he was my parents Cockapoo, or at least that's what they suspect, sadly he passed away a few months ago. We would go over there regularly so they knew each other but they were both kind of anti social so they coexisted and would occasionally run around the yard but wouldn't play. In fact Rupert doesn't really play with any dogs that he meets, he sniffs and usually just walks away or barks at them, not aggressively, just like hey its me. He's not competitive so if you throw a ball and another dog is chasing it too he usually just backs off and lets the other dog have it. If they start running he may chase them but really hit or miss. I think its unusual because most TTs I see are very playful with other dogs. He was left tied to a fence at a shelter at 1 or 2 years old and had never been groomed so I'm sure there was some sort of trauma in his past but he is a very happy playful dog around humans. sorry for the long reply, I love talking about Rupert.
