Oh Colleen - you did an excellent job of showing us your clever way to line up the seams with the lighter sashing fabric. I really appreciate all your detailed instructions and the importance of accuracy thus making a less stressful time in constructing and achieving a beautiful quilt. You even gave us tips while sewing the longer seams! I also want to congratulate you on your oral presentation style - you seem to be more relaxed and at ease than you did with the first few solo tutorials, allowing your lovely personality to show through. Nice going! I'm looking forward to each new set of YT tutorials for your Quilting Quickly issues.
+newbeequilter thanks - onward
Colleen, you are a very talented sewing specialist and I enjoy your tutorials very much. Thank you for sharing!

Breathtaking colors...fabulous piece!!!
the batik colors are just beautiful to work with - rich depth of color:)
I would like to do this quilt for my son. I have only did 2 quilts before. My question would stars and stripes be good for this. Thank you kindly. Wendy of ohio.

Sorry I didn't see your question until today. Just about any fabric will work. Just keep in mind that if your fabrics are extremely busy prints, pair it with a calming sashing and it would be fine.

Please forgive me if I sound rude but I much prefer you doing the quilting videos by yourself instead of with your friend.
+Miss Lucy - I thank you for your encouraging words. When I was asked to start doing them alone I was really nervous. This is really outside my comfort zone. As long as people find the tutorials helpful, we will continue:)
