- Later in this video is commentary by my husband so scroll past the music if you like! Just a short video showing our friends new 2022 Can-Am Maverick Trail 700 Base. Overall, it is slightly more quiet then the 1000 of the same model. This one does not come with doors or power steering. Overall, it is nice and fun to drive!
I am looking at upgrading from Articcat trail 700,2014 to 2023 Can am 700 trail.Any input from your friend would be greatly appreciated.
He still has this machine and has not had any issues with it since he bought it. He has added doors and upper windows since he bought it and he keeps up with our 1000 just fine! He wishes he had power steering though. Yes, it can be added but I would say if you are needing doors and power steering, looking into a machine with those already on it. Have you visited the Facebook site for Can Am Trails? Folks are selling some used ones there so you may find a good deal on one that already has the added accessories.

The 700 has the plain steel wheels as it is the lower cost unit. A lot of folks upgrade wheels and tires anyway so they offer the 700 at the lowest cost so you can upgrade it as you like!
Is it possible to install a DPS on this model that does not have a DPS
Our friend is thinking of doing that and we think it is possible however, we are not 100% sure.
Is the top speed decent for long rides on open roads or is it slow.
This belongs to our friend and he has no problems keeping up with our 1000 but he has not taken it out much yet. If you are concerned about power or lack thereof, get the 1000. You don't want to have regrets when you need the power out there in the field and that is why we have the 1000. Our friend is in his 70's and not into fast and hard riding.
How much in total did it come out to if u don’t mind me asking
It is not mine but a friends. I do know he got a heck of a deal on it at around $11,995 + tax title and Doc.

i didn't know they made a 700, i knew about the 800 and 1000, is the 700 new for '22 ?? we have a can-am outlander max xt 1000 2up in mossy oak, 2015, 86 horse power, wife sits behind me,, we love it,,
Yes, the 700 is new for 2022. The 800 is no more. We have the 1000 Trail and love it! Our friend has had some fun times so far with this 700 and it does really well out there on the trails!
is the seat adjustable?
The drivers seat is. Has a sliding seat as well as the tilt steering wheel.
