    Sounds like the real deal. Hits some of the rubber bandy extremes that my pbf struggles with but my old big box reissue nailed.
    Nice job

    I always want to make ADA flanger since I saw your video demo of real ADA flanger more than a decade ago. but too lazy to build pedal with such complexity. this video make me want to revisit the idea again building one.

    do you have a video showing the schematics and chips and process for making this? i'd love to give this a shot! it sounds great

      There's a good video on UA-cam of a guy showing how to set the trimmers and get the circuit sounding right. All other info is available at the end of Google. I built this on Vero and it was very challenging. Not for beginners but worth it if you're an experienced builder.

    I've wondered if the flanger effect used in "Eunuch Provocateur" by the Mars Volta (for example, the intro) is the ADA. Omar definitely used one at the time, but I've never been able to try to replicate it myself.

    I didn't have any desire for a flanger until I heard this. What a sound. I checked out the documentation and it's a fairly involved project with the cuts and jumpers and plenty of room for error, so congratulations on such a successful build. Where did you get the MN3007 from?

    • @blondegraemey
      @blondegraemey  2 роки тому

      Hi! Thanks for the positive comment. I bought five or six MN3007 chips about ten years ago for a repair project. I can't remember where from now, it may even have been Ebay. They've all worked fine. Sorry for the vague answer. Regarding the build: yes, it was very complicated and took a long time. I had a short between the voltage track and ground (due to a minute solder bridge) that took me two weeks to find, but other than that, I just took it one step at a time and checked my work after each step. Hard work, but very much worthwhile.

    Did it take you long to tune the trimpots in? I followed the video guides on UA-cam but still had some problems.

      The two clock frequency trimmers T4 &T5 took a while but the rest weren't too bad. I made a load of notes after following the videos then went from there.

    i have a electric mistress v2 flanger that needs repairs is that something you would know how to do?

    • @blondegraemey
      @blondegraemey  Рік тому

      Hi. I've fixed a few in my time. Often it's the voltage regulator that blows in them. It really depends what the problem is. If the old Reticon delay chip goes, then finding a replacement is almost impossible.
