Selling all our best players to the same 3 clubs year on year. Milner, Barry, Downing, Albrighton, Delph, Benteke. I don't see how anyone other than a Baggy or a bluenose can put Villa in that list.
Entitled means you expect to get things when you don't deserve it. Villa fans are not entitled one bit, they are just proud of their history. Most of their fans haven't seen Villa win anything for a generation but they choose to support a club that they love regardless. That is not being entitled.

Sir Alex was great at buying known producers in the PL and getting the most out of them. Keane, Cole, Yorke, Rio, Rooney, Carrick, RVP, Berbatov. Basically every other year United were bringing in the most coveted Prem player on the market. So I can understand to a degree why United fans get pissed when they don't bring players in of that description anymore. SAF would have bought Harry Kane seven years ago and absolutely done everything he could to get Declan Rice.

Most of us don’t want the best owners we want competent owners, owners that actually care about the club and aren’t using the money we generate in revenue to clear their own debts. The main things we want from new owners is a sporting director that can evaluate talent better and cheaper, and for them to fix the facilities and the stadium because we are so far behind on what other team’s facilities have

I'm a United fan. My dad is a United fan. My grandad was a United fan. My family has been through every high and every low this club has experienced and I can say hand on heart Tom is 90% correct. The only thing I would dispute is the bit about sucking it up because it's the Glazers club.....they bought us with money they didn't have, placed all the debt on us and have been living life hard. If we had owners like Todd Bowley and were still in the same position with regards to league positions and trophies then I wouldn't be complaining at all, because that is the cycle of football. They had an offer of £2billion.... Three times what they paid and said no.

As a Villa fan who’s not seen his team win anything in his lifetime other than the Championship playoffs, I wouldn’t say we’re entitled at all 😭 and the only time I’ve ever heard another Villa fan mention 1982 is during chants, and as for the ground I’d say Villa Park is living proof that the fans make the stadium, not the stadium itself. I do think that it's tough for United fans to have balanced opinions when the media wanks themselves into a frenzy every time theres a minor road bump. This is Manchester United we're talking about. As was mentioned, we're in and around Newcastle and Spurs and not far off City, yet the press coverage would have you thinking we're bottom half.
I also think there's a cycle. Liverpool were dominant for two decades, had incredibly entitled fans for the 90's and 00's but slowly moved to a more "just happy to be back amongst it" mentality rather than "we deserve it". I think United will get there in the next 5 years.

It is 100% Lewis, said going into this season I’d be absolutely buzzing with 6th place. We over achieved last year and a lot of big teams had poor seasons. We need to not get to big for our boots and concentrate on improving the squad constantly

I’m an Arsenal fan so I may be biased, but Tom is 100% right. United fans have every right to complain about there club in any sense that they feel, but that’s not the problem. The problem is that they think they are in the worst scenario possible in the world of football. And if you rebuttal in any sort of way it’s always the “we are bigger than you” or “we’ve had more success than your club.” They think it’s all about them and every problem they have is worse than anyone else’s. They do nothing to combat the Glazers other than protest for about 2 weeks and then give up and then yell at their players for having a weak mentality😂. Not all United fans are annoying and actually do criticize within their fanbase, but it’s a large portion of them that do.

Winning the European Cup is a proud moment and achievement in history for any club in Europe. Aston Villa won it in 1982 because they deserved to, not because they were 'entitled'.
Yes, they have a beautiful and historic stadium, yes they have great and empathic support, yes they have great owners and management team and yes they are even having a great season. That is not being 'entitled', that is their identity.
Aston Villa do not attract glory-hunters, most of their fanbase haven't seen Villa win anything of note for a generation but they support a club void of recent sucess or expectations of undeserved sucess. Most of their fanbase will have experienced relegation, promotion or even threat of bankruptcy in the last few years. Wanting sucess is NOT being entitled. That is just supporting your club.

Agree that we’re the most entitled, but the reason for that isn’t really highlighted in the vid. We seem more entitled than we actually are because we’re complaining about standards being set by our rivals (City/Liverpool) that we’re completely overlooking. Recruitment is one thing us United fans usually complain about, but it’s all relative to who we’re competing against, City and Liverpools recruitment has been exceptional in the past few years which highlights how bad ours has been. Also we’re the most scrutinised, which leads to more complaints because there’s more conversation around us, when everything’s going tits up at the Albion, no one apart from West Brom fans and maybe Villa and Wolves fans know about it so there’s not much media attention so no one really knows when yous are moaning. How is Liverpool no 5 interms of entitlement? Theve performed the best in Europe out of any Prem club to exist, they also have the most trophies of any prem club and have 1 less league title than Man utd. But have 2x as much ucl as u Utd or and far more than any other english club. They also have the best homegame advantage out of any other team. Theve made more comebacks at Anfield than any other team. They definetely deserve all entitlement.

As a Liverpool fan, I've watched my team go from winning domestic cups, to then winning nothing and getting kicked out competitions; but we don't complain, we haven't got the best owners but we don't complain, we aren't domestically successful as we were, but we don't complain. We are happy that we are still putting up numbers, and we don't expect to be top again for a while, sometimes you need to just be happy with what you have, other teams have it worse.

This is where you need a United fan in the conversation, we’re in a billion of debt and could genuinely be less than 10 years away from a relegation. We need at least £2bn of investment in our facilities and that money isn’t coming from anywhere because we’ve had a grand total of £0 invested by our owner in 15 years.
