Great interview, very interesting. I found it a bit odd to not even mention Rothko when you're sitting in front of a row of works that are clearly directly inspired by Rothko. There's no escaping Rothko, Kandinsky, or Mondrian if you enjoy minimalism so I suppose perhaps you may have taken it for granted that the audience would make the connection without being told. Either way, as a fellow Rothko enthusiast, I like this move forward in a similar sphere but with wholly different technique.
