Thank God balor talked about the global drop rate nerf . Everyone just keep saying fomo when it's not .
8 hours of office/computer work, then another 4 to 6 hours of PoE. RIP eyes and wrist
Everyone tallking about Mirrors while Im waiting for my first divine. 🙃
I didn't drop a divine until after the Atlas was cleared which in SSF is super annoying because I actually need a few Divines to craft with.
Tbf I did drop the 5 Divine card shortly after the first divine dropped.
Something is up this league. I barely have Alts and wouldn't have many Alchs if it weren't for Tujen.
Since I am not in trade that is a bit of a problem for crafting mid level gear.
GGG have shown all the currency art during the art for items talk at exilecon, they showed the mirror of kalandra art so it's definitely still in game.
My problem is that T17 should be between T16 and ubers but my char that I invested 140 divs specifically made to do maps faster can blast giga juiced T16 and even farm Ubers(not that fast tho) but I get destroyed in T17. So I hate it.
The purple crystals created by "exploding crystals when hit" do chaos damage. This is what the wiki says and also backed up by what it feels like going from 60 to -60 chaos res. This was changed in 3.21, it used to be elemental damage but is now chaos.
Yes, this is correct, I was going to write a pinned comment correcting this and mention it in the next podcast.
I fact checked in the wrong place ("Archnem mods" instead of "Rare monster modifiers")
The point still stands though, noone knew that it was elemental when it was elemental xD
Whoever designed the stash for the graveyard allflames should put to mental hospital...
I use X-Mouse Button Control and mapped "Leftclick" to also be hit when i use "SCROLLWHEEL UP" and "SCROLLWHEEL DOWN" - it worked wonders for me.
The "Workan office job to come home and play POE" hit me hard. I sit at a computer for like 18 hours a day between work and POE lol
I'll leave this here, but I highly recommend separating your hand actions.
If you left-click a lot to move and sort your inventory, use your main skill (the one that does the damage) on your right hand.
It helped a lot having my main skill on R and Arcanist Brand for cursing (for example) on T.
I think most of poe's problems come from balancing for just trade league. I don't want to have to trade for map and scrabs. It would be great if the added a system like Last Epoch.
Y'all talking about your mirror drops lol, I dropped one while leveling in perandus league, but it was my second league and I hadn't participated in the economy at all yet so I didn't know what I had. I mirrored my better 1-handed weapon so I had two of them.
It’s like hearing billionaires complain about paying taxes
Regarding hand strain discussion, getting a USB foot pedal was a game changer for me. I mapped left and right click to two of the pedals. I still move the mouse around by hand, but do all the clicking with my feet except in the most intense of situations.
Since a few years ago, I switched my main attack to Q rather than right click.
t17's suck becasue they gated so much behind them. not that they are hard. they are your 5-way device as well as half of chase uniques,. which you also cannot get from stacked decks any more so the combo of everything together is where the pain is from so much this league.
Can't disagree with gazzy in regards to WASD not being in POE1, I absolutely hate that it doesn't have WASD movement.
39:52 This aura tech works for controller too! At least on xbox where I tested. Still waiting for one button to turn them all on.
My only mirror drop was a mirror shard from a Harbinger turning into a full mirror.
And, somehow, I think that would be far more common than dropping an actual mirror.
The problem with 17s is that they are actually harder than the UBER boss fights. So in order to get the fragments, my build has to be stronger than my uber boss killer does.
Correction for the on kill minion affects, it is all dots that players can create. So infernal legion actually doesn't count.
I haven't seen this suggestion, but one somewhat bandaid "fix" to having to be shoehorn into 1 league mechanic, or 2 depending on what you choose and how much you want to minmax it, I think GGG should first add 2 more map slots to our device as a default, so you have 6 and then +1 from doing the t17's. But I would also change it so that the T17 no longer gives that +1, instead i'd give that to the final default maven invitation (the 10 bosses one). This would alliviate some issues, secondly bring back conversions, and thirdly, I would make it so that all maps from t1 and upwards, gets a tiny more currency, more scarabs and more maps drop item affix that is baked into the map itself. These baked affixes would go up in roll ranges as you go up in tiers. So for example, a tier 1 would have 2 - 5 more currency items, t2 would have 4 - 7 etc, eventually leading to t16's which would have rougly 4/5th's of what a t17's baked affixes is currently. This would help a lot by raising the floor significanlty, and make the "journey" through earlier map tiers feel more reasonable. It would also keep t17's as relatively strong, but wouldn't put them leagues above t16's.
U can do graveyard with less tediousness for less power. Just use less corpses.
I switched to a vertical mouse, that fixed all my problems with wrist, fingers and ellbow pain from playing so much. Can at least recommend to try it out, took about 2 - 3 weeks to take effect for me.
Dont know have you noticed, but T16 and below maps seems empty without some league mechanic added to them. its almost all the monsters you kill are coming from some mechanic like beyond/deli/harbi etc and there are no NATURAL MONSTERS AT ALL. Meanwhile you go in t17 and you are swarmed with frikin giants and shit everywhere. GGG need to adjust NATURAL MONSTER DENSITY between t17 and rest of the maps. imo
yep i tried that "back to the basics" keystone and it's dogballs. Map had an ungodly amount of item quantity and pack size, yet it felt barren, like running a white rarity map.
1:01:00 - doing he same as ghazzy - i do what's fun, i make hella money. i do not profitcraft tho lol
As an SSF player I can say we're definitely feeling the overall nerf in regular drops. I've had 7 natural divines this league, no altars or special lantern mods or anything and that is noticably less than previous leagues given my approximate playtime. By this time previously I'd sit at around 20-25 at least.
It's offset a little bit by necro crafting being so powerful and easy to use, I have much less need for meta benchcrafts but on the other hand, I've never felt so starved for exalt slams. I don't know what the general pulse of the community was/is concerning loot conversions but I loved it, every bit of it. When gem XP procced that was fun, getting an enormous explosion of 20 six sockets was fun.
I've come around on my feelings on the league mechanic, when I started I thought "oh no this is gonna be every fucking zone isn't it? This will be so tedious" but now I'm excited to click the map device because who knows, it might be something spicy there.
Finally, I just want to say that multiple atlas trees is the best change the game has seen in many years, it's so damn good. League balance forcing me to spec into Necropolis on every tree is a separate issue.
Great episode as always
Maybe the best idea would be to make t17 maps only contain the bosses, not full of lootbags
Played and juiced the hell out of Affliction - no mirror, no valuable t0 uniques, no >20 Divines explossion either. However I got 3 Hinekora's Locks.
I got Mirror drop in random Cemetery map in Crucible and offered as final reward in Tota so can't really complain about RNG. :p.
I have quit already
Cool atlas, bad scarabs, bad league
Thats enough
Iusually bind my main skill to space bar. 0 strain on my wrist or fingers since then.
Honestly, the addition of this many scarabs seems to be a huge miss. I hope next league they can streamline and cull half of them cuz its just too much and adds many things I feel like I gota pick up from the ground since in theory it was a good idea to get rid of sextants and compasses but in practice the move was too much. Same goes for T17, in theory it was a good idea but in practice it was an even bigger fuck up.
I agree with TPB about GGG just stopping the use of the Scarabs or even T17s until they figure out what exactly they wanted to do instead of letting it happen over the course of 3-5 days. However, because it went on for so long I get the feeling like they were doing another test with T17 and Scarabs.
snapow lmao ,, you gotta be kidding me , is that how you pronounce his name XD
Great podcast, Ive enjoyed it!
Not engaging with the graveyard because of its bad UI/UX is one of the best reasons imo. I'm gonna keep perma skipping it
This is always my biggest complaint - and poor UI making things tedious and therefore Unfun is a very legit reason.
That being said given how you have to pull up a giant CraftofExile spreadsheet and planner ANYWAY, searching my stash tabs for the right corpses at the end of that is light work 😂😂 But definitely haven’t bothered trying to make small upgrades
I love how people are still talking about buying controllers, USB foot pedals, and other external gadgets to reduce the amount of strain on their hands by playing the game.
Instead, of keeping their money to themselves until GGG changes their game-design to facilitate their audience. Lots of ARPGS have stopped with the countless clicking of random loot drops/bloat. It's sad to see, but I think POE is going to be a dinosaur of the ARPG market fairly soon.
I typically go dedicated Heist until mageblood (at least the past ~4 leagues).. and this league, Heist has been absolutely fuckin abysmal for profit.. Stacked decks alone were worth at least 3-5 div an hour.. now they've nerfed them so bad the div rooms are barely worth revealing.. not to mention everything else that comes from heist seems to be AT BEST worth half as much as in the past.. I stuck with it for awhile but realized I was making more currency per hour from just the scarab and T17 drops while running alc n go T16s (to farm my own contracts/BPs).
All that being said, all strats seem to really be suffering without moderate investment.. and with that moderate investment comes an extreme difficulty spike.. Like personally, basic mapping content hasn't felt this difficult to me in a very long time. Heist on the other hand, is extremely easy content that can be run with a very scuffed (high movespeed) build for "okay" profit.. and it's extremely low maintenance once you get past the initial setup..
I'm already back in standard league lol. Not a very fun league this time round.
don't worry ghazzy, i'm a shitter with 5k hours and also never saw a mirror drop - but unlike you, i also never even reached enough divines to buy one.
t17 problem isn't it being harder, it's the way they make it harder. I understand ggg want to make things interesting, however they just add way way too many build disabling mods which makes t17 so god damn un fun for me. I'd rather they give t17 a 99% global less damage taken, than this current state.
removing sextants made all maps weaker and made the simple juice for the average player no longer there... we're talking 4 different effects or addition to maps plus gutting the reward system in normal mapping no more loot explosions the scarabs are a mess now even legion and 5ways totally gutted harbi essence harvest no longer good .... y destroy the game like this... we need better rewards in lower tiers and they need to stop nerfing popular builds
Ghazzy thinks he can make 10x profit crafting in the same amount of time it takes to corpse craft?
huh, well shit...ill tell that to the 4 pairs of gloves from a single craft that i sold for 90div each...
Old man problem, that's why i play 0 button build, no skill no flask needed :)) can't go back
YO EVERYONE THANKS FOR WATCHING! This was fun!
