Honestly I think the Knuckles calendar is the best. Because not only do you have the main 5 in holiday outfits, but you also get all 7 chaos emeralds! An Easy way to collect 2 sets!
I have the newer one with all 7 Chaos Emeralds, I actually just did a full series of shorts for it this past December. I like it because it's a surefire way to get all 7 Emeralds and the Christmas versions of Amy and Robotnik make it feel more exclusive to Christmas.

Here what I say mighty advent calendar is a great starter set if you going start your sonic 2.5 inch line and knuckles one is great if you got lot of the figures and need all 7 emeralds
Honestly, I think the 10 Ring accessory would’ve been better if the color was yellow like the normal ring, and if the hole was fully black or transparent.
I don't know if you realised but there are not just 2 versions. I have seen at least 4 or 5 variations so far. The one I had was different to both ones you have and I've seen even more online. I'm not sure how many there are in total but there are definitely more than 2 by at least a few.
I think it's weird to give them points for giving you all the good stuff up front leaving you with disappointment later on I think the best advent calendar would stagger it
I did get one of these from Target before December started and it looks like I got the Knuckles Calendar which I'm fine with that, I'm alright with getting either one, just glad I got an earlier way to get all the chaos emeralds

There's more than 3 btw, I'm not sure how many but I believe there's at least 4 or 5 I've seen. The one I had was different to both in this video.
