This region of north Italy (including Ticino, south Switzerland) is in my case the most beautiful place on earth. You have everything. Mountains, hundrets of lakes, great food, beautifil architecture, forest and nice lovely people.
x2. From the second I dropped into this area I was dragging my jaw on the ground. Pictures and videos will never capture the true essence of this region. You have to see it with your own eyes.

The way your videos are done are amazing. No annoying chat or commentary but yet its still very watchable and tge subtitles work with the images and the gentle music so you can still get a sense of the places with the sound of the waves etc. Brilliant.

The truth is, Lake Como is like heaven on earth. It is a gleaming gem in the center of Italy's crown jewels. Capturing the region's unparalleled beauty and narrowing out which attractions to highlight is a real challenge, and over the course of six days in the city, I had a life-altering experience and fell in love with the city and its wonderful people
Beautiful. I guess this is the way I will have to travel in my life, through videos. I've wanted to travel my whole life but never had the means, but this is pretty nice to see it through someone else's eyes.
Stayed here two seasons ago. if your looking for a special get away when money is not an issue this location is 100%. central location on the lake close to the golden triangle. great video, keep them coming please.

I've been to Lake Como, but seven years before this property was built! I can't imagine what it must be like to stay in this amazing place, with this luxury comfort. Amazing effort yet again!
The scenery surrounding the lake......stunning, the architecture of the building nestled into the mountains was breathtaking, the hotel understated elegance, great video.
Just in awe of the scenery. The boat ride as you got close the villages, my favorite part of this video and the music was spot on ,taking my breath away...loved it👏🏻😊❤️
Amazing spot. The room is great! Almost don't want to leave the hotel to look around the area! Thanks for sharing, maybe I'll go. 1980 took the rickety train from Milan to Tirano and back to St. Moritz Switzerland. I was an exchange student at 17 and lucky to go all over Switzerland with their trains. Later had lunch on the summit of Corvatsch Piz Bernina. Not gourmet but the view was awesome and surrounded by snow crusted skiers getting coffee before leaving. No big tips about luxury spots but trains around Switzerland are quite nice. Glacier Express is a 1st class train experience from St Moritz to Zermatt. Try that sometime.
Btw, I dont know how you did it but you must have the BEST job in the World! Getting to travel with your family all over the world to these beautiful destinations. Wow.
Well done as usual. You should be good at this by now! (But we did see your reflection in the bathroom and restaurant--tsk tsk-- haha.) The post is long - but the camera work is slow and deliberate, giving you the chance to really appreciate the surroundings. I love the sound effects: birds, lapping water, people chatting, wait staff noise (you would never hear in a place like this), even a rain storm! Nice touch. Now, the Pandemic means UPGRADES - so yes, cash in! Although, by now you are getting compensated for your videos. And should be. At a thousand to over FIVE thousand a night for a room at Il Sereno, anything helps. Nice to see your kid having a great time.
To die for boats!!! Amazing staircase. Gorgeous restaurant. Beautiful scenery...love those old villas. And could spend hours in the gardens....just lovely. The architecture, etc. calls to mind the sleek moderne 60's style ( ala the protagonists house in Mt. Rushmore in North by Northwest). Seamless photography and editing. Music was spot on. As a world wide traveler for some 40 years. This is by far the most beautiful hotel I have seen. The design is absolutely stunning as it is very downplayed with air between each furniture/art etc., that gives it such a serene atmosphere. I will surprise my women for a stay at the IL Sereno. Really good to see Italy getting back on its feet. Covid was so devastating across the country. It seemed so deadly there. This video gives some hope to the rest of the world.
Not sure I like the minimalist modern style of the hotel in that particular setting. Adding a few plants here and there might have helped :) I did like the stonework in the restaurant and I liked your hotel room. A cake amenity--cool! The restaurant's food looked delicious. I agree. And I think you said it well. I think every detail regarding the hotel is perfection; but it just doesn’t say ‘Lake Como’ to me. Rather, it looks like a hotel that would be in Switzerland or Sweden. I was a little surprised that in this most ‘traditional’ of Italian settings, more traditional, (classic) elements were not incorporated into the exterior design of the hotel. The outer aesthetic is unusual, and is not harmonious with the surrounding architecture. However, impeccably designed and managed.
@@JamesBrown-ij1px Actually, it incorporates various elements which are typical from Lake Como's area: the usage of mountain wooden and cave stones, the vegetation which takes over the palace. It is like a contemporary big cottage (In Italian, rustico or baita). These have been the peculiarities of most of the houses back in the 19th and 20th century. You have mentioned "traditional" structures which are those from the villas built in the 20th century for rich Italians. Il Sereno is more integrated in the landscape than Grand Hotel Tremezzo and is more from "Lake Como" than what you'd think!

Nice hotel but one thing I could never figure out is why fancy restaurants starve their patrons with such dinky portions of food at astronomical prices!!! Is it a rationing thing or what? ✨I found there were no bad views. Wherever you are, the view is always lovely. It feels airy, and open, which is what I like anywhere I visit. The Il Sereno is a perfect retreat for a restorative experience. Thank you for taking me back to a gorgeous time spent, in the land of my ancestors.✨ ✨My mother’s maternal side of the family were northern Italians. The paternal were from just outside Rome.✨🍷✨

I absolutely thought there was a 60's look to the place, but thought that must be just me. Sadly, i actually was reminded of a well maintained corporate office headquarters building, and that's not a compliment.
this hotel is on the east side of the lake. i've traveled up the west side last summer from como to menaggio. beautiful scenery all around. there are a number of nice spots on the road to stop and take pictures
Wish I could go but would never be able to afford a hotel like that . Looks so peaceful. But I will 1 day go to Italy. I pray I can It’s my dream trip. Been many places but its part of my Heritage

Villa d’este is more up my street, however the restaurant looks good, and getting a trip in a Riva is a once in a lifetime experience.

Love the juxtaposition of this contemporary structure in the midst of the lake como landscape. It is elegant and tasteful which is why it works.
