One of the best wide beam interior I’ve seen... you should be doing this for a living... pro builders stop turning out the same old 70 caravan interiors and learn from this man
There are some truly brilliant and spectacular wide and narrow boat builds/refurbs out there and shown on UA-cam but this is by far the best an absolute masterpiece, thank you for sharing.
I have just started to watch those, I suspect my previous comments will be outdated as I’m sure the new boat will surpass this masterpiece. Have a great weekend. Regards Tim.
Wow! Fantastic fit out.... Wish we had a canal networks like the U.K. has here in the USA... Great job on the video's also. Thanks... Gary, Florida USA
Stunning. Thanks so much for sharing. I’m a livaboard yachty but building one of these is my next adventure. Great inspiration. Enjoy your new life afloat!
Thanks for all the kind words. My boat is not your traditional interior so I guess it’s not to everyone’s taste but it has a lovely homely feel inside which is what I wanted.
andy bailey A table of boat shell prices i saw included vat for narrowboats and also 10ft and 11ft beams, and it was only the 12ft column which was VAT free. Don't know how universal that is though.
Looks great. We were set to buy and have our wide beam finally built but right now it may all be cancelled due to the house sale falling thru. Gutted but will live the dream through your videos. There aren't enough interior boat videos out there
wow - that is amazing! That has completely turned my design on its head for my wide beam. I like the kitchen - you have the walkthrough in the left as leave the main kitchen as a "snug" so that people can walk straight past, rather than squeezing past each other in the usual zig-zag kitchen when they have the breakfast bar on the other side. Then you have used that dead space between the sofa and the worktop, as it's on the other side now for the dining area! Well done! I'm changing mine now lol.. ps what's the width of your bathroom - amazing use of space - cupboard under the gunnel, face wash looking out of the porthole.. excellent idea..!
You've done such a great job, ive subscribed and turned on notifications, you really did well, and too be honest if I manage to get a widebeam, you will be my inspiration
You Sir have created the best G'dam widebeam I've ever seen !!! I have a question: What was the prime motivation for choosing a 57' by 10' over a 60', 65' or 70' by 12'? Was it perfect for your needs, or cost, maneuverability, or it offered more access to some canals/locks that the bigger boat wouldn't ? #gongoozlerquestion
Thanks Chris....it 57x10 purely because I want to travel around. Some locks up north are limited by 57/58 ft and its 10ft wide just because it’s a bit easier to handle through the tight bridges.

Thanks for the kind words but this was my first boat. Please watch no22 and you will see many improvements I made on the second boat Northern Light.

quite simply, the best looking boat I have ever seen, literally not a single thing wrong, well done
Chris Evans ...Thanks. That was my first effort. Keep watching as I am half way through Northern Light! Which will be even better I hope.
Stunning absolutely stunning - one of the most beautiful and professional fit outs I’ve ever seen
What an absolutely beautiful vessel - would love to see the pilot station in fact the whole vessel in detail 👌
Thank you.

Absolutely amazing. Hope we can make the interior of our boat just as stunning. Due to get end of May, then the hard work begins!

Northern Buoy love the fit out!! Exactly how I want to build mine. Can I ask was your size boat VAT Free?
The vat free rule is a mine field and you need a very big boat or non existent gunnels. Maybe find a smaller shell builder who is not vat registered.

Not traditional for sure but it looks beautiful. A decent size TV too.
U should make a video what it cost and time spent doing it very interesting

Stunning widebeam! Did you do all the decor yourself or get someone else in and used your ideas?
All our own work. Thanks.
Great Finish, with good gadgets. What did you budget in the end for the whole job?
