@NoahFaude Kinda, it uses different hands for it's range/magic attacks. If you pay very close attention I'm sure you could switch prayers before taking any damage.
@TheRsmoneymakinguide There's no need to lure behind a pillar, it's not that hard to focus on two things at once. Luring just shortens the distance between Enduring and Glacor when it can't reach you and walks up to the obstacle. It also limits you to killing certain Glacor within range of an obstacle which is gonna slow you down even more.
@iluvtopurepk Mage bonus speeds the kills up, Torva is only really useful if you can't kill them well enough to live off a Unicorn. You get froze more/damaged by mage in melee armour as well, so it doesn't really help all that much. In void I'm surviving comfortably with a unicorn, usually 800+LP unless I mess up and get hit by an explosion/ice shard. There's absolutely no need for melee armour if you can do that.
@QeenRs Yea it doesn't have much impact, good mage attack bonus kills them slightly faster though, so as long as you're not struggling to heal with uni/ee you might as well go with mage gear.
@MrNikitas99 No, though it's a multi combat area, it works the same as single combat in regards to different players attacking the same monster. Only 1 person per Glacor, but you can use combat familiars to help you (Uni seems best though, I tried steel titan and didn't notice it do a single bit of damage to the Glacor, it does help on minions though, but that's not really worth using one).
@plijuh123 Sapping rapes your prayer, shortening trips, increasing the rate you need to bank. It's rare they heal if you're potted up (Vecna skulls/extreme magic pots aren't expensive), and the extra time it takes is offset by the many kills that are faster due to them damaging themselves. It's definitely faster than travelling all the way to the bank and back, which can take a couple of minutes.
@TheRsmoneymakinguide Uni in combination with enhanced Excalibur provides more than enough healing, for the sake of a few scrolls I'd imagine most people would prefer faster kills and less moving around.
@grapistist Yeah seems quite a few people prefer the hiding method. If you don't have problems healing this way it is a bit faster though, not only faster kills but more free Glacors to kill (since most people are killing the ones near safe spots). Been having like 2-3 Glacors to myself most of the time, no waiting time inbetween kills ftw :P
@jared285q lol he says in the video, is the charge for the unstable monster that makes it blow up and hurt itself and you. it appears above the glacor when the glacor inherits the trait of the unstable monster after you kill the unstable monster
@AnderssenX Like he said, the Glacor takes the attribute of the minion you kill last, he killed the exploding one last so the Glacor got the timer and eventually exploded. One was the timer, was was HP.
@pokemasters100 They drop the best boots in the game (better than dragon/rangers/infinity). Also Armadyl shards which can be used to make new Armadyl runes and create an Armadyl battlestaff which "enhances" the effects of the new spell (Storm of Armadyl). Not sure exactly what that enhancement does yet.
The special attack hits exactly half your life points at the time when it hits you. And I also think it's worth noting that you can get hit by the explosions of other people's unstable glacytes and glacors when they have inherited the explosion effect of the glacyte.
Honestly, this is and is going to stay as the best guide out there, and you have only gotten 4 effigies for about 160 kills so far! :( You deserve some boots man! :) Good luck to you.
@sosolid2kk I was thinking prevention of damage whilst saving supplies is more important than kills per hour. By luring them around pillars, and dealing with the glacytes in a systematic order with protection from melee, will not slow down the kill enough to make it not worth doing. Albeit true that standing far away, and dealing with them your way could give you perhaps 1-2 more kills per hour (variable) It's more profitable with the luring as you save supplies mitigating damage in the process.
@sosolid2kk Yes i would agree, but i saw videos in torva where they hit just as accurately as someone in max-mage. Plus you can use protect mage, and turmoil for def/ss for hp on the minions works well.
Great guide, though I find it funny you use virtus legs+deflector so gain a Lp bonus making your uni heal more. Surge box in void works best tbh the extra critical hit on top of every 5th surge hit makes a difference. But of course requires more precision during minions making sure you dont get damaged too much, using safe spots can be of advantage. Full Virtus or Akrisae's would be most ideal imo =]
@LilRD8718 At current prices yea, but will depend what prices they settle at in a few weeks/months if they stay decent profit. Fire cape as far as I know doesn't have any special abilities, you'd be better off wearing a soul wars cape (or max/comp) or spirit cape IMO (magic bonus doesn't have a massive impact here, so god capes and what not are probably not the best choice.
Just saying, but you can tell which attack is coming based on which hand. Right (for it) = Range Left (for it) = Mage Might help to memorize, since you wouldn't have to see the attack show up.
@sosolid2kk i prefer using a melee pl8.. you can't fail with fire spells on glacors.. even with bands full etc.. so melee defense would be better to tank minions.. hope i helped u a bit
@sosolid2kk My trips are short anyway, because I use a safespot at the expense of slower kills. Sapping barely takes away any prayer because the Glacor dies after 6-7 hits, while the Unstable Glacor heals itself in preparation for the blast. At least I kill them faster by leaving the Sapping Glacyte at last.
@CFxRenaissance Void mage deflector set, Virtus bottom, arcane stream, chaotic staff, spirit cape and mother fucking dragon boots (h) which of course I forgot I was wearing, infinity should do or ragefire :o
Damn, you seem to know where all the good unlicensed music is. Got any suggestions for any instrumental metal (the link to Pathfinder was great, but it'd be cool for moar). If you respond, thanks for the suggestion. If not, well, thanks for at least reading.
You didnt mention the special attack with which it freezes you and you have to spam click to get out of the ice or otherwise it will hit you for massive damage.
oh i have an idea for u sosolid, once the unstable blows up once, u should hit it once to finish it off then u wouldn't have to deal with having 2 attack u all the time.
in your opinion is it worth dunging quite a bit for augury in order to kill these OR getting a maul in order to camp fiends for 88 summoning? i have soul split but my summoning is only like 70 right now...
The boots are as rare as hell. Although someone will reply to this and say they got 2 boots with 20 kills; which will either be complete bs or got extremly lucky. I think the drop rate for a pair of boots(any type) is about 1/200-1/250
the ritual of the mahjarrat quest is not end!@ the dragonkin has attack edgville or idunno also the quest in the guest menu its color blue not green (not glitch i dont think soo) anyways if is not end there would be a major reward and storyline :O
@lnr30 True. But considering that no one has ever made any TD scripts (honestly, have you ever seen a bot there), I don't think they'll ever make Glacors before TDs. =P
Fire Makes no difference, believe me, i've tried. Soul Wars cape/Mage cape is probably the best bet :) Nice guide man :3 Saves me the bother of making one ;P
@LilRD8718 33m an hour 2 boots sold at 50m each. But I was extremely lucky to get 2 boot drops last night. I was one of the first people to do the quest before school kids got home.
Those spinning spikes that the Glacors shoot has to be the most scariest attack I have ever seen a monster do.
love how this guide is over a year old and yet still up there with the best guides for actually killing the glacor.
@NoahFaude Kinda, it uses different hands for it's range/magic attacks. If you pay very close attention I'm sure you could switch prayers before taking any damage.

Good to see your back posting normally
finally an rs video that doesnt use some odd dubstep song
@grapistist Yeah seems quite a few people prefer the hiding method. @gruntacular33 No the game still considers you in combat with the Glacor.
@AnderssenX Like he said, the Glacor takes the attribute of the minion you kill last, he killed the exploding one last so the Glacor got the timer and eventually exploded.
One was the timer, was was HP.
edit 2 epic videos in 1 day, you are the boss.
@Pixelize45 No idea lol, I've been hitting 980s without it and haven't heard of anyone hitting 1000+ yet
@pokemasters100 They drop the best boots in the game (better than dragon/rangers/infinity). @Alegiance Not yet :P Haven't killed many though and it's bed time c:

@iOBBYmauler its the other way around....glacor's right hand = ranged, glacor's left hand = mage
@androfred Have been but yeah I doubt I'll be keeping it up lol, maybe try out Vecna skull and/or ext mage pots to cheapen the trips a little :P
Thanks! Gonna go try it again now, didn't know about the order thing, had no clue what so ever
@StephenThePyro I'd say it's probably closer to 1/10, I've killed around 80 and only had 6 shards so far lol.
@TheElysianSky Sheep has a tail, Sheep have a tail.
DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INTRODUCING ME TO PATHFINDER, I BECAME A POWER METAL FAN, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! :)))
Just saying, but you can tell which attack is coming based on which hand.
Right (for it) = Range
Left (for it) = Mage
Might help to memorize, since you wouldn't have to see the attack show up.
THANK YOU SOSOLID2KK, I STARTED LISTENING TO THIS AMAZING BAND
@sosolid2kk i prefer using a melee pl8.. you can't fail with fire spells on glacors.. even with bands full etc.. so melee defense would be better to tank minions..
hope i helped u a bit
@Hopdiddy11 for use of Augury, which is on the normal prayer, its a lot more efficient then using sapping curses
@Drag0nzeyes Lol terrible for typos yesterday, wasn't feeling very well :( There's a couple in each video.
@Mur0w070 The reason you hit so high, is because in that area, you have the power of the stone of jas.
@iMatthw Depends on your dung lvl I guess, if you've got tokens sat doing nothing why not :P
Nice tactics, did you use overloads for this method? i found them to be sort of wasteful.
@sosolid2kk My trips are short anyway, because I use a safespot at the expense of slower kills. Sapping barely takes away any prayer because the Glacor dies after 6-7 hits, while the Unstable Glacor heals itself in preparation for the blast. @CFxRenaissance Void mage deflector set, Virtus bottom, arcane stream, chaotic staff, spirit cape and mother fucking dragon boots (h) which of course I forgot I was wearing, infinity should do or ragefire :o
when the glacor moves its left arm, it's magic attack
when it moves its right, it's range
Dude I love your music choices :P
what is the recommeded equirement we should use plz tell me
Damn, you seem to know where all the good unlicensed music is. Got any suggestions for any instrumental metal (the link to Pathfinder was great, but it'd be cool for moar). If you respond, thanks for the suggestion. If not, well, thanks for at least reading.
@axxisis Normal Prayers last longer than curses, and chances are SS2KK is using augery prayer.
so the "rare" or "better" drops from this monster are the shards of armadyl and the boots, yes?
Great guide, really cleared some things up for me. Keep them coming.
@BillyTheKid925 They drop 3 different types of boots. They're about 3M right now but I expect them to rise.
Are these at all worth doing with fire wave instead of surge? Using full mage void and all other standard stuff?(Stream, inf boots, sol, etc)
@sosolid2kk I concur. However, not everyone is attentive as you, or I. Let's agree to disagree. both methods have their advantages.
What if you do not have the ability to use Fire Surge? I'm only 86 magic. (Yes, I know I have to get that number up.)
Thanks, and great guide!
You didnt mention the special attack with which it freezes you and you have to spam click to get out of the ice or otherwise it will hit you for massive damage.
wow you really like dem void armour. maybe i should use them often too
Sosolid, is the chaotic staff worth getting? It's only 5% better than the SOL right?
The swirling ice attack (avoidable one) will damage you for half your current health
@xStretchz The new best melle/ranged/mage boots in the game
oh i have an idea for u sosolid, once the unstable blows up once, u should hit it once to finish it off then u wouldn't have to deal with having 2 attack u all the time.
in your opinion is it worth dunging quite a bit for augury in order to kill these OR getting a maul in order to camp fiends for 88 summoning? i have soul split but my summoning is only like 70 right now...
Little tip for everyone if you use vampyrism then you won't need a unicorn and you can have a steel titan instead.
Whats with you and epic-ninja?
@icanpk What sheep?
@sosolid2kk if you can't miss with fire spells on them, then what's the point of using mage void for the accuracy bonus at all?
whats the best things it can drop?
The boots are as rare as hell. Although someone will reply to this and say they got 2 boots with 20 kills; which will either be complete bs or got extremly lucky. I think the drop rate for a pair of boots(any type) is about 1/200-1/250
Any particular reason why you're on normal prayers? Is it required or something?
the ritual of the mahjarrat quest is not end!@ the dragonkin has attack edgville or idunno also the quest in the guest menu its color blue not green (not glitch i dont think soo) anyways if is not end there would be a major reward and storyline :O
It's better to kill the Sapping Glacyte first, because the Unstable ability heals the Glacor.
@TheLuiz121970 it's green for me, but there will be another part!
If we don't have a void deflector what else would you suggest(Still using the void setup)and no Arcane stream :|
FYI the spec hits for half your current LP not necessarily 500+
The enduring should be lured away from the Glacor first otherwise it increases the glacor's defence.
great vid, very informative. anyone know what he's wearing (like each piece specifically?)
Do you know if Fire cape increases damage of fire spells similar to Ice strykewyrms?
would you recommend staff of light? i do not have the dungeoneering tokens to get chaotic
@frankdan67ab 3 Charms and blue seems to be the most common lol
@TheElysianSky its has when its single. have when its plural. and this is plural
@sosolid2kk so then i take it that its not like jad where you can switch prayer and not take any damage even after the attack has left the glacor?
@lnr30 True. But considering that no one has ever made any TD scripts (honestly, have you ever seen a bot there), I don't think they'll ever make Glacors before TDs. =P
Why not replace void torso with Virtus top instead of robe bottoms with Virtus legs?
is that full void with deflector? why dont u get ahrim's top? why full void plus deflector doesn't make sense?
@plijuh123 6-7 hits takes down 180-210 prayer points... An extra hit or two is much better either way
Can you do a starting off dungeoneering guide because i feel like its going to take weeks to get my first gravite...
@AlchemistxBankai No. TD's haven't been raided by bots. Same thing with these Glacors. Prayer switching is too hard for them. =P
Genius you did it again
@dyl2210 augury probably, since he doesn't need soulsplit as he's praying during the entire fight. and the leeches are boosting less than augury :)
@sosolid2kk :l Hope you feel better :)
Fire Makes no difference, believe me, i've tried. Soul Wars cape/Mage cape is probably the best bet :)
Nice guide man :3 Saves me the bother of making one ;P
@LilRD8718 33m an hour 2 boots sold at 50m each. But I was extremely lucky to get 2 boot drops last night. I was one of the first people to do the quest before school kids got home.
Pathfinder - To The Island Of Immortal Fire :)
(power metal genre)
What item did you swap out for deflector? robe bottom?
why normal prayer? ss not work? and could you ss with wolpertinger for max damage?
in the begining of the song i thought that was sosolids voice
what's up with that rapidly regenerating second lp bar above their head?
what makes this monster worth the effort? -drop wise. Thanks(:
Great video + song!
How many runes would you bring on an average trip?
@TheElysianSky That would be a Grammar mistake not a typo. WhayYho correcting Sosolid2k k??
@ivan99000 they can since there are bots for jad and the glacor isn't a boss anyways
