! I didn’t even know there’s different types of ‘delay’ .. I just knew that a child can delay in speaking. I’ve seen it growing up with my cousin as he only got to speak proper as he was progressing in higher grades in school. You can imagine growing up back in the days in rurals..there weren’t proper awareness around ‘stimulating the mind’ and they would diagnose a child as being ‘slow’. Very informative ladies. it puts me at ease as a mom of two young ones. I can say that I much aware after this video

My son is on the spectrum. High functioning and more on the the seeking side. He has speech delay but lately he’s trying to speak. A lot goes into raising kids like this. Occupational therapy, speech therapy, the correct diet. All they need is love and understanding ❤

Very informative content , I remember our older daughter took a while to express words clearly, what we discovered was that the nursery school she attended was not actively stimulating communication in the daily activities, and as parents we were also in a space where we had busy schedules and not spending enough time developing her language skills . We changed her to a nursery that was part of a prep school and we found that structured learning they provided instantly unlocked her language skills in an amazing way.
Our 2nd benefited from having a sibling and we were also more intentional about introducing reading earlier and her language skills are amazing.Parenting is a constant learning phase❤

My Favorite screen time for my daughter is Songs for Littles on UA-cam which is also great for speech development.

This is informative Didi. Thank you so much. My 20 months baby doesn't speech. He points at things. He says mamamama, gaga gaga. I am worried, but his said I should not be concerned because he stays at home, is not going to school and is the oy child.

Thank you for this informative video guys. My son is 4 and has a speech delay, he has been attending speech and occupational therapy for over a year now but I'm not seeing any improvements in terms of speech, I don't know if I'm being too impatient 😞
