I think Slugger's ultimate should do like 60% because since his ultimate is called "Rage", it reminds me that it's an aggressive ultimate that the user damages the opponent. The blue shockwave part just awakens the enragement to the user.
I think 70% is too high because Takamura is a protagonist, but Ippo is the main character while his ultimate does 65%. 70% of an ultimate would be unfair because Iron Fist's ultimate does 80% while the user takes damage. What's the point if a style's ultimate does 70% while the user doesn't take damage? This is why I think 60% is fair for Slugger's ultimate as in the anime, Takamura nearly killed Hawk.
Slugger's ult should be reworked, the ult damage should scale on how much hp you currently have, for example. If you have 30% hp left, the ult damage should deal 60% instead of 50%, since in the anime when takamura and hawk fought, takamura was in critical condition, but when he finally got angry. He dealt a combo with devastating damage to hawk while he no longer had the energy to do a combo like that, making the ult being named rage, true to it's name.
That could apply to basically any ultimate though, most of these are « final effort » attacks that the characters used to finish the match after a long struggle

Idea for the Ultimate Rework: The Upper Hand Ults will still retain their ability to knockout but with a twist. The Damage you deal, before you cast, will increase its ability to knockout by 5% (This damage must be pure damage, meaning no punch must be blocked, applies to both m1 and m2). This does not affect styles like Ippo or Iron Fist, due to their already very high kill chance OR Ultimates are imbedded with "crit." What I mean by this is that Ultimates will have an increased % to knockout (Like plus 5% to Smash's Ultimate, which is around 45%, so it equls to 50%) if your HP ratio is higher than your opponent's Any thoughts?

To be fair some of the health bars are a bit above 50%, so i dont feel like this was an accurate vid. Besides, if you played enough, relying on the perfect 50% is impractical. As long as you can get the health below the stamina bar, you should have a 90% chance of KO. I say 90% cus i watched hands low not able to KO below 50%😢
