  • I had a 72 Dodge Demon 318 POS once. It was $200, no speedo, no blinkers, no mufflers, no horn, no insurance. It didn't end well. See Cars & Randy Metal playlist here: • Barn Find Dealership (...

    Yessir I had one back in the day. '71 340 4 speed. The darker blue with black and silver interior. Wish I would have hung on to it but I guess back the I didn't realize what I had.

    This is a great video, but as an avid Demon owner, I feel there is so incorrect information. Chrysler used parts from the duster and the dart. The front clip is dart, the rear is Duster. The 340 was a performance package, the standard was either the 318 2 barrel, or 256 slant 6. Most Demon 340s on the road are actually the smaller engine rebuilt back into the 340 parts and specs. Either way, I love seeing the Demon get some press!

    Wow, that was my car! Bought it from the original owner in 2000. Did a garage restoration on it. Notice the bees on the rear quarter windows are in the front lower position? Not correct, I just thought they looked good there!

      I suppose these light cars could use anything to help with good weight transfer? Mine just had 2 6x9's in the back deck that weren't even screwed down and came flying out into the back of the front seats when I smashed it after school on the way to go jam at Chip's on his 16th birthday... ooops. About a week after I got it legal, just before getting the notice my license was suspended for that no insurance ticket when I snuck it out to my burger job. Me and Randy were in the Demon and skidded about 80 feet into another guy's truck that Chip was in.

      The 80's and even 90's were pretty rough but lately there's some good options, there is now a new Dodge Demon's, ScatPacks and Hellcats! Plus Corvettes, Camaro's and Mustangs. Some I liked (Pontiac) are lost though.

    What's ur dream muscle car thrash??? Mine is a 76 trans am Smokey & the bandit style! Dodge Beaver would been an awesome name IMO! I'd be driving Beaver all-day!!!! 🤣

    • @THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS
      @THRASHMETALFUNRIFFS  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah, that Beaver made me laugh! Oh man, I went through a lot of cars back in the day. I had a 71 MonteCarlo that blew the trans just as I found a 70SS Monte in a back alley, so after saving my burger money I bought it, then blew the motor so I took both to autoshop and swapped engines then got hit head on by a drunk in an Olds 442, pulled the motor and traded both Monte's for a 77 Firebird with no engine but was burnt out and sold it to a kid in autoshop and bought a Custom 76 Dodge Van with a couch/bed, bar, swivel captains chairs that was good for hauling gear too. I had a 72 Formula 400 Firebird with the dual snorkel's I only put an exhaust on and drove a few hundred miles and sold. Then the 83' Firebird in my 96 VHS Burnout video with the 383 Stroker motor lasted a long time and went through several changes. I think if I had anything (musclecar wise) it would be the 70SS Monte Carlo back, just like in my first MuscleCar TV video here. Though I did always want a Pontiac Leman's like my grandma had, tomorrows vid will be a similar Judge! I'm happy with my 18yr old Ram 4x4 quad cab these days and meets all my needs I guess.
      Thanks for watching these dude, I'm just clearing off some old harddrive space of stuff I saved for a long time!
