They are so nice and humble. On stage they transform and give their best performance. I love them. ❤
❤️ this band for eternity
Without Alan wilder, they are boring. Just another generic rock band.
@@dudutsulugulugan2911 you literally clicked on this video, went to the comments just to bitch about Alan wilder leaving 20+ years ago. Grow some balls at this point.
@@dudutsulugulugan2911 They are not rock and definitely not generic, sweetie. They are ELECTRONIC band, have you listened to their album? If you don't love them, wtf do you listen to their interviews, to shit on them? MOVE ON ALREADY, Alan has left 30 years ago, they have released many GREAT ELECTRONIC albums, it's done, it's in the past, let it go! Don't be so pathethic, seriously.
@@dudutsulugulugan2911 LOLOL sure okay. Bold of you to admit you're this stupid.
On stage Dave seems to go into a magical trance and takes the audience with him!
That's exactly how I felt when I last saw them!
These guys are a class act.
Get to see them if you can.
I'm seeing them in NYC next month. Can't wait!!!!!!
Me too Cindy!!!!! April 14th MSG babeeeeee!!! It would be my first time seeing them play! Hope you have a great time. I’m sure you will tho 😊
saw them in 1988 and 1991
@@Kamandi1971 that's too long ago friend, you MUST see them this year. 🥰
November 5th - Toronto 🎉
I love Martin Gore so so so much. Bro SAVED me as a kid...I wasn't ever alone because of him. Genius songwriter and such a humble and self-deprecating person.
Love this. Same. DM is beyond us, but always been right there with us.
His brother in law works at an engineering company in essex and he says Martin is in the states but they chat a lot and a good guy still.
One of the old footy team
@@wingnut1 Lives in Santa Barbara, CA. and it hardly gets better than that.
Yeaaaahhh Martin, I would keep Enjoy the Silence also. Depeche will always be the greatest band of all time! Awesome interview! RIP Fletch.
Haven’t been excited for a tour from DM since Playing The Angel and feel this will be one of their best tours ever!
@@My_Fair_Lady agreed with you brother. 101 was the best memories for me and my friends being juniors in high school. From the food fight to it raining during “Sacred”. Still have my original commemorative 101 shirt as well as the Music For The Masses tees which I’ll be wearing at the Crypto 17th show.
bought my tickets yesterday !
One of the mort pricey tours ever but I got my tix too
People love them and their music, so they will get a lot of positive energy.
Their lyrics, their compositions are unique. After a concert you can get such a creative boost, you float.🦋
Yes 👍❤💕💃🥰
I’ve been with these guys since the beginning when I was in my mid 20’s and now I’m 66 in August - still excited about seeing them in Toronto on Nov 5th 🎉
Man how I love these guys! Depeche Mode FOREVER!
Just can’t get enough of Martin & Dave. Just got the latest edition of Mojo magazine (great interview also), DM till I die 🎉
First time I saw them was in 1988 when I was 17 yrs old for the Music for the Masses tour. I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m now 51 and it will never stop for me. My young adult kids have been following my footsteps. Love it.
Depeche Mode got me through college, and I finally saw them in 2018. I was absolutely blown away. Somehow, Dave just keeps getting sexier with time. Seeing them again on this tour and I am so excited. Rest in peace, Fletch.
I truly appreciate the relevance and intelligence of the questions asked. You can see that the interviewers have a huge respect for the band, and that Dave & Martin very much preserved their class and sense of humour!
thank you so much! Stryker (of booker and stryker)
@@TunaonToastwithStryker You're welcome. This is one of the most intelligent interviews I've seen of them. Thank you too!
The best band ever ! Two great men! LOADS of great songs!
Keep up the great work DM. It’s just so sad that we’ve reached the stage where we lose members due to death. Time flies and life continues. I hope Alan Wilder makes surprise appearances in the tour on some of their songs like Never Let Me Down or Enjoy the Silence. I know many fans will go ballistic.
I love to see them having fun, I'm very excited for the album and the tour.
Me 2☝️🎶🎶🎶🎶
@@Ikasaswarrior LIKEWISE! ❤️ Doubt we will have enough cash but you better believe we are trying our damndest 😭❤️!!
@@BvirtuallY totally get you🙌
Booker and Stryker - you looked like two giddy kids in this interview. Adorable!
thank you! I was pretty excited and smitten with the guys.
I am now discovering DM for the first time. i was oblivious to a lot of music as I grew up. But I am totally enthralled by this song Ghosts Again, once I heard it on radio and on Steven Colbert. The guitar and harmony by Martin are spectacular and dave's voice is just right.. I cannot get that song out of my head, and it has been 2 weeks straight, day in day out.
Dave & Martin 🔝 Professional 👏👏👏
So good to see them laugh...
I’ve been listening to these guys for 40 years! I still love Never Let Me Down (split mix) 🖤
Dave choosing Enjoy the silence over Personal Jesus killed me 😅😅😅 My favourite song is IN YOUR ROOM (album version) 🤟 very funny interview, so curious to see how dave watched TLOU episode 😂 my favourite band and game together!! 😍
In Your Rom is an epic piece of music, real powerful stuff from the lads
I'm glad he agrees with me. I think it's a better song.
My most favorite Depeche Mode song is Enjoy The Silence so I agree with Martin.
Love Depeche Mode. I was born in their hometown of Basildon but raised in California.
I love these men, I cant wait for this tour!!!!!
11:00 is such a fine example of dry british humour and Dave's laugh really tops it off
Watching this interview now after the concert I saw in Barcelona last Saturday and they really did give us their best so thank you so much for delivering the DM magic we witnessed over the years it’s incredible how powerful the band sound and performance still is. I was blown away and I am back in dreamy after DM concert state I always experienced throughout the years since my first concert age 14. Precious. So thankful ❤❤❤❤
Love, Iove the questions... Martin and Dave are such a good time. The DM community is so lucky; I honestly thought after fletch passed they were done. They're back stronger and better than I could have hoped for.
They have to for the honour of Fletch
The fellahs are looking great
THANK YOU for watching our chat with Dave and Martin.......Stryker here of Booker and Stryker
Guys, you rock, are funny and GREAT video-interview with the BEST band EVER. ❤️
Keep this all up, Stryker! You're passion's contagious! ❤️
They are so down to earth these guys .. thats what makes them loved all these years. Great interview as i have watched almost all of their interviews. The scripted questions with mind bending answers while this one was nice smooth talk and leaves such a positive vibe. Well done
💯
I love seeing all their new interviews through their travels promoting their music and their new tours. However, they are like a great wine, they get better with each moment of life. I am so damn grateful for hearing their talent throughout the decades and their inspirations continue. Thank you both for sharing with us your talents - Thank you for your life changing musical gifts that have moved us throughout the years. Thank you for the reminders - Love you
I adore Dave and Martin, they are comical I love them both so much and they will always be in my heart forever
Martin is so cute. Dave as always absolutely irresistible. 😍
Divinos both ...💝💝
Legends, always!
Already have tickets. So excited.
Omg. This was so wonderful!! Loved this interview. They look so good! Cant wait to see them in April ♥
Interesting. Enjoy the Silence is the song when Dave sings the least on tours, when the crowd sings instead almost all the time, and it is very long track, the "resting song" of a sort.
I've seen them live many times, they are awesome and the energy they bring out is contagious 👍
For anyone in the So Cal region. If the tour dates snuck up on you, they have added more dates for the end of 2023. Start saving your money and clear your calendars. See you there 🌹🌹
Love you much!❤❤❤
Those two, Martin and David always put a smile on my face when I watch them interviewed. Hell, I live in LA and I didn't even know till now that 98.7 was a new station. lol I gotta check it out
Absolutely 💯 legendary band x
We are seeing them in Atlanta. Looking forward to it!
Martin is the absolute sweetest. Still has the best laugh in the universe. I'm going with him on which song can permanently leave the setlist...both Just Can't Get Enough and Personal Jesus. Definitely looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks.
My favorite band of all time! Such a huge part of my angsty childhood.
AWESOME Interview, Guys! Thank You! Dave & Martin, you look ten years YOUNGER than you did ten years ago!! Also, my husband, 21-year-old daughter Ayla, and I are HUGE fans of DEPECHE, and your 'Ghost Again' song is as creative and inspired as your greatest lyrical songs! When Jase, my husband, brought that song to my ears, he said, 'Oh my GOD. Depeche Mode. You HAVE to hear the new song.' While this is always true for us as fans, he was right. Jase & I have been your fans since before your DM-101 fan film & tour to the ROSE BOWL! He & I saw 2 of your Cape Cod concerts (including an amazing one in the POURING rain!!). We're ages 51 & 52 now; We WILL find a way to get tickets to your tour as we have always intended to 'see you again' (song-pun). And this time we've added a 3rd fan in our 21-year-old daughter Ayla, who will come with us. It might also be 'fate' as you are performing in Boston on our favorite holiday, Halloween! Best advice from us 'infinite fans?' Here: DAVE & MARTIN, I'M SORRY FOR FLETCH'S SUDDEN DEATH. HOWEVER, FLETCH WILL BE W/ YOU THROUGH YOUR WHOLE TOUR, USING POWERS FROM HIS SPACE TO ENGAGE THE CROWD & ANY MUSICAL ELECTRONIC NEEDS AS HE IS KINDA A GUARDIAN ANGEL, NOW. THIS IS JUST MY INTUITIVE THINKING, AND I'VE BEEN INTUITIVE MOST OR ALL OF MY LIFE. WHICH BRINGS ME TO YOUR BEING A BIT NERVOUS; THIS IS ONLY NATURAL. BUT, AS YOU'VE ALREADY 'MADE' THE REST OF YOUR FANS' LIVES VIA RELEASING 'GHOSTS AGAIN,' YOU'VE ALREADY SUCCEEDED! AND: WE ADORE YOU GUYS SO MUCH, WE WANT YOU TO STAY HEALTHY, HAPPY AND AS CREATIVELY INSPIRED AS YOU ARE NOW! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
At 15 in 1983 get the balance right was in the charts . I walked into a pub with my older friends and Depeche mode Fletch , Martin , Alan, dave walked in put it on the music machine and everyone went crazy and sang it with them in Basildon essex uk where we live
*Bravo* 🥰😃☺️ #YES_N_YES you need to bring your daughter, *what better way to share d love for life and music (FOR ME MUSIC IS LIFE) as a family n lieve her that great DEPECHE MODE legacy* & also I'll say #TRUE_TRUE 4 things you said to Dave n Martin! 🙏💞🕉️ I believe that we need to see n feel that this tour is in his and all DM members honor! (Cos, just some [10Q God n Universe] of my friends, older than me-fan's longer, saying.. "ohhh I will, can't go, Fletch is not there" like WTDuck?!....no, no, no-he will b there, he is here) #JUST_POSITIVE_LOVE_LIGHT 😇❤️🌟🌀🎶🍀💖 Greetings and blessings from ZG-CRO
I've been taking my son to DM concerts since he was 9 years old (Playing the Angel Tour). He's more laid back than I am (I'm up dancing & singing every song!!!) but he loves DM too.
@@EMENEMSY137 EXACTLY, my band and Earth sibling/s (on all you have pointed out)!! ❤️
@@BvirtuallY 😇🍀☀️ good morning 2 you! 🤗 *YES* I couldn't agree more with you! this is a sooo good interview! that is happening when the interviewers are real fans that knows the band very well. It was so enjoyable.
I love them so much!! 😭
❤ I love them ! I am so extremely excited for this album and tour !!!
Love particularly the quizz at the end… just can’t get enough 😆🤣 I was surprised by Dave’s answer though…but, he said he didn’t have enough time to think about it ;) They are so down to earth and humble…love 🖤
love it, love them .....🥰🖤🙌
Such a GREAT interview! Love our boys!

Dave and Martin looking better then ever. They sure look ready to go. Speaking of "Ready to go" I've got my tickets for the start of the tour in Sacramento Mar. 24th Also got tickets for the San Jose show Mar. 26th and if that wasn't enough. I got my tickets for the San Francisco show on Dec. 3rd I've seen Depeche Mode 17 times. These 3 will make it 20 Die-hard DM fan 101%
Love them! I will be in July in Berlin and I am so excited! ❤️
Fantastic interview. Seeing them in Vegas Dec 1st. 3rd time seeing them and I’m just as excited for this one as the first
Love this sooo much❤
That was a good interview. 😀
They look great! They sound great! Can't wait to download the new album. Cheers.
Such a good interview :)
Technically I was a late bloomer with DM- I became a fan when I saw People Are People the first time. That shit blew my mind open and became a forever thing.
Three years after their first release isn't that bad - especially with "People Are People" being their first hit in the US.
Depending on where one lived it'd be hard to become a fan of a band one had never heard.
In the interview they're more than likely referencing the support LA radio station KROQ provided in their earliest years and throughout their careers. The 101 concert film was recorded at the Rose Bowl so their fan base in LA was probably established well before it was in other areas.
11:06 😂😂😂 Dave’s laugh!! Best part.
Much respect ❤
Memento Mori exact same number of letters as the band name

1+1=2 (M&D)
😮😮😮😨
LEGENDS FOREVER!!!!!
I love these guys!!!!!
They are fantastic!!
Great interview.
Im so hoping they come to Australia❤
I don't know why it just dawned on me but the two that are left are DM - Dave & Martin
That was funny at the end - made them.laugh!
Love them both❤
Good to see them laughing.
Haha, enjoyed the interview! 😄👍
Ha. Love it. Thank you, guys.

.Place went mad singing with them...loved them since 1980 an album on the SOME BIZARRE LABEL BY STEVO of new groups Depeche had a record called Pretty boy
I wish!💕
I had that Some Bizarre vinyl.
I was only 5 when it came out but my brother who is 4 years older has it…so you know 😁.
Depeche, Cure, John Fox, Visage, Human League. Amongst others.
Had it for years…then finally somewhere along the line it finally disappeared. Absolutely played it to death though
@@alecskinner8807 you can get it on cd or online
@Mel raz my mates were all 3 to 4 years older . We drank there after football. I was tall for my age and decent player so hung out with them after soccer....
I've met people who live sharing their stories of meeting artists before they were very famous. I'm glad I've met a few myself. I am in Los Angeles.
Love DM best babe ever , they were my best company during my harsh teenage life all way in the 80s in Colombia . I wish I could see them in New York but I cannot afford the tickets , love you though ,
Wow !!
The greatest band of all the time!
I have tickets for their Toronto show and New Orleans show....SO EXCITED😝😝
InDMode forever 🎹 🎶
I love the new songs! Carry on dudes ❤
This was a great interview
Going to see dm in Oct. I hope they play Policy of truth, World in my eyes, and few others from Violator album.
Love you guys and this was fun to watch 🥰
I'm still admired that people don't know Depeche Mode by now.
But maybe because they are my favorite band since I was 15 (I'm almost 33 now 😅)
And I love Martin at the end. Yes, just can't get enough as to go 🤣
I love these Guys ✌
Really good questions for once.
The Meaning Of Love😂
DM, woah!
Хорошая група Депеш Мод! Крутие парни , как били такими остались..
I think that most people agree that Violator was a good gift for me as a young girl finally
A niqabi Maryyam likes Depeche Mode 💕
