My best tip for fabric organization is to make the fabric in your stash visually accessible. It makes it much easier to select fabric to use from your stash!
My fabric is completely disorganized in bins and boxes between a Caterham Super Seven Lotus Replica and a wall of concert speakers in my auto body shop.. It could not be worse. This makes me happy that if I rearrange it all , it can only get better. My sewing machines are on a large MDF board held up by a car lift, next to the powermatic table saw. I bet I could do better!
I purchased them at Walmart. They have held up really well and have the sliding barn door. They are made of wood and probably some type of synthetic materials.
