    Entha Muddo, Thyagaraja composition in raga Bindumalini, Adi talam, an instrumental tribute to Mandolin U. Srinivas. This traditional Indian classical music piece is a rare composition that was made popular by Mandolin U. Srinivas. The team of young musicians performing this Carnatic classical piece here are Saigovind Vijayaraghavan (Mandolin), Poornima Emani (Flute), Sarvesh Karthick (Mridangam), Anirudh Sharma (Tabla) and S. Manikandan (Tanpura).
    This is a slow paced Kriti that brings out the flavour of raga Bindumalini. The piece starts with a melodious Aalaap followed by a Tanam. Then a groove by the percussionists, followed by a mellifluous Chittaiswaram which leads to the Anupallavi, and then everybody joins in to play the Pallavi. The Charanam is played alternating the lines between the Mandolin and Flute before moving on to the Swaras that highlight the Raga and the Laya with changes in Nadai and a Korraippu. Swaram leads to the Korvai after which the percussionists play a Mohra and Korvai. All the musicians join in for the grand finale to finish.

    An excellent tribute to Mandolin wizard: the Late U. Srinivas! Thanks to the entire team. A suggestion to IndianRaga: it would be great to include a short summary or essence of the lyrics when presenting compositions. This would enable the viewers to relate to the original emotional mood better.

      The entha muddho part is the Mandolin little boy, looking at the seniors and possibly the conductor, to visually inquire, if he is doing the theatrics of nodding and hand gestures to their satisfaction & this is what expected to see...
      His skills in mandolin doesn't worry him, but this melodrama, so checking out if he is delivering correctly. Entha Muddho...😘
      Guys, the dramatics of head and hand gestures, come from the listeners in Indian music. Performers appreciate each others skills, not explicitly on stage. You are overdoing this bit.
      Outdoor recording for visual appeal is okay. This induced "canning" of nods to imply, they enjoy each other's performance is not working and is not keeping with the tradition. Give up.
      You are doing a great job with a great set of kids, why slur yourself. Hope you tone down soon.

    It's funny how South Indians call it Carnatic Music. Every idiot knows that Carnatic is a British distortion of Karnataka. But to accept that Karnataka Sangeetha was born in Karnataka is a humiliation to all Tamilians, Malalayalees. Not so much for Telugu speaking brothers, because of Tyagaraja.

    • @nihaal4763
      @nihaal4763 5 років тому

      Heyy stupid... how do you manage to be so stipidish that you don't know even what you are saying. Lol. The word karnatakam in Tamil literally means orthodox and since this was the music that prevailed for centuries, it was often referred to as karnataka isai and the British translation of which is carnatic.

    • @phaneendrakumar252
      @phaneendrakumar252 4 роки тому +1

      In Telugu, Sanskrit real meaning is Karna means Ear. This music is so pleasent to hear. So that it is called Carnatic music.

      Father of Karnataka Sangeeta sree Purandara dasaru itself is sufficient to show its meaning....

    • @nihaal4763
      @nihaal4763 3 роки тому

      @@Sookshmagnya to know the meaning of what? Who even made purandara Dasar the father of carnatic music? It's a modern day calling. It's not like he made carnatic music. There was many many composers before purandara Dasar, that are not given credit for. Just because a person called Purandara Dasar, from Karnataka is called father of carnatic music,doesn't mean the music system is Karnataka's music system. Carnatic music is the type of Classical Music evolved and prevailing in the Peninsular India. If Carnatic music is Karnataka's music why is all of south india practicing it. Moreover, the trinity hail from Tanjavur, most of the krithis are in Tamil, Telugu and Sanskrit. Why does Karnataka's music has less number of kannada Compositions? Don't come up with allegations. Carnatic was the word used by the British to refer southern India. Evidently, the music of Carnatic region becomes Carnatic Music.
