I'm a huge fan of the Porsche 911 and the styling of this thing is insane. The shaft driven RS4 Sport 3 Flux is a waterproof brushless RTR RC that screams right out of the box. Right after shooting this video, I stuck a 3s Lipo in and held on for the ride. Seriously, I was gripping the transmitter really tight as this car went screaming down the driveway. I can't wait to get it out in the light and see what it can do.

That thing is sweet!! You are going to love drifting its a lot funner than I ever expected!! You will also love Hpi!!
Just started getting into these 1/10 on road/ Drift cars myself. I find that you can get very detailed with these builds just like the scale crawlers. Nice channel, vids and builds
+custom fast rc Cool man! I'm afraid to do a custom body with these because I do see how detailed people get with them. Thanks for the compliment and for checking out the channel
custom fast rc is this a drift car
Awesome video great unboxing very nice Porsche can't wait to see in action great job thumbs-up
I like the paint scheme and Falken sponsorship. Sweet ride. Thumbsup
+RC Crawler Workbench Thanks Nate! I wanted to try out some speed. It's totally sketchy to control at full throttle. lol
CCxRC I bet it is. I've been wanting to get another fast rig, just cant decide on what I want.
+RC Crawler Workbench I hear ya. The low profile on this makes it very picky about where it can be run. The way I like to run, I might've been better off modding a Rustler like many people do.
CCxRC wouldn’t that be because it has no gyro or any kind of stabilization control?
Love the body style on that Porsche 911 and the teeth on the front bumper are menacing. LOL Sweet deal on the Vaterra too...looking forward to seeing both machines running. =)
+Susan Millard The teeth are so cool. My boys think it looks awesome. Can't wait for all the parts to come in for the Vaterra
+CCxRC Oh ya....waiting for parts is the worst when you are itching to get things running. =)
Very cool car Tony. I agree with you, I really like the body too man... The grey backing on it, does it for me. Very nice.. I can definitely see why you don't have time for builds. So many projects, so little time..lol... Y'know? I blame that damn "WORK" thing. Takes up way too much of our valuable time..lol.. Cool update bud thanks for sharing.. :)
+RcNickster hahah! so funny. The travel part definitely pulls me out for chunks at a time. But I do get to fly a quadcopter while I'm gone...so that is a plus.
The body does look great. Very nice brother! Stop tempting me to buy stuff!!!! PS, those radios seem flimsy, but work really well.
+Theibault sorry Theibault. It is a tempting car. I wish I would've known to type in a search about rocks jamming the steering all the time. Everything is so compact that the steering seems to lock up every other time.
CCxRC Very common on these kinds of cars. Happens a lot on my TC3.
Theibault Good to know. I thought the road was clean...but those tiny rocks are killers. Hit the curb and jumped it up into the grass. The steering was still stuck and I thought I broke something. Then I realized what the issue was and why I couldn't steer away from the curb
Did the tires grip good for anything besides drifting? I’m looking at a used cheap set since all RS4 wheels cost a ton right nos
You will love that rs4 very fast and stable
Mobay876 RC stable for who.? My car won’t track straight at all. And the wandering steering is nowhere near stable, lol.
So you can’t mean outta the box. I’m far from the only one with this issue.
Excellent video , great Porsche !!
+sator rotas thanks Pascal! The body is the best part of the car
Are the decals removable? I’d like to peel off those decals to give it a cleaner look
Not easily
Awesome looking car Tony and a good steal on the Vaterra V100
+RC Marty Thanks buddy. The verdict is still out on the RS4. The steering locks up with the tiniest rocks or debris because the bell crank sits so low on the chassis. Definite flaw.
CCxRC That sucks, they made it out to be a concrete floor drifter or what ?
Do you recommend this chassis? I am looking for an all-rounder chassis ( drift, touring , rally) that is durable enough. My current is TT02 but I hate to upgrade it almost the entire chassis so I think buying a new one is better
I'm not the one to ask. I hardly ran it...then sold it because I had a hard time finding places to run it.
Did you have any binding in the drive train when you first ran her in? Just put a brushless setup in my new Rs4 Sport 3 and she's running hot and not coasting, like the drag brake is on. But I've programmed it off? Might be an ESC issue. Trouble shooting at the moment is all.
+Ken Trapnell it definitely seems to drag a bit when releasing the throttle. I'm new to this style car, so I wasn't sure if it was normal. I'm guessing mine has some drag set.
Did you ever add aftermarket wheels to this falken flux? Are the wheel wells cut bigger than normal on this body to accommodate for the thicker sidewalls? Thanks in advance
I've been watching you for some time now from the uk I would love to make a youtube channel on rc however I only own nitro vehicles would you say I have a shot as I see the nitro Industry dieing fast...just cant convert to electric yet set in my ways lol would love your feed back
I'm getting this next month, so excite. I just keep watching your vid.
Can you remove the rear wing?
+ai van Cool! I'd definitely adjust the shocks to give more ground clearance. The rear wing is removable.
love it, looks smart, those metal gears will do you justice while out and with the upgrades this will just keep getting faster and faster with those nice brushless helping out :-) proper nice addition for a reasonable price the porsh, and the other longer chassis for $20...lol whats $20 these days :-D was a gift and a nice one at that :-p
wow I just saw your in the Hampton Roads area! where at I grew up in Chesapeake an went to Indian River high school. love the videos brotha.
An please subscribe to my channel thanks in advance man!
+alan guthrie subbed. Yeah man, I'm in Chesapeake. I go out and bash near Indian River HS...which is also very close to our local hobby shop. It's half a mile up Military HWY. Glad to hear you like the videos. I have a lot of fun making them.
+CCxRC wow what a small world...I live in NC now but have family up there I'll have to look you up the next time I'm in town!
+alan guthrie Cool man. Where in NC?
+alan guthrie Cool man. I visited New Bern for the first time last year.
Awesome sports car! Can't wait to see it run!
+Jeff Thorpe Soon Jeff...soon. Tried to get some stuff tonight, but kept locking up the steering with rocks. It was a total failure for footage and kept me on edge while driving as I worried about losing control and destroying it.
a very nice body... and also a nice chassis..!
Is it a good car (do u have to maintain it a lot) I'm thinking but buying one cheers
I don't drive it much. The road has to be so clean and smooth that it makes it hard to quickly take out for fun. There is no ground clearance.
where did you get that yellow stand from? i'd like to start with rc cars, i already have 1, but its always laborious to work on it...
That was a good deel on that Veterra. The HPI Porsche looks beautifu I love the look of itl! And not that expensive for what you get. I wonder haw it would do on 4s? ;-)
+My RC Tribe I bet it would be insane on 4s. The ESC isn't rated for it...but I probably couldn't control it at that speed yet anyway! 3S is what I ran in it for the first time today and it was insane
Love to get this car.....BUT, concerned about ground clearance, suspension travel, etc. on the mostly less than perfectly smooth surfaces we have hear in Louisiana (pavement and cement). Thoughts? Possibly fixes like rally car suspension install to help? Thanks.
Seth Stiles I ended up selling mine. I didn't have a "clean" enough spot to run it. I got some extra ground clearance by adjusting the shocks, but it still wasn't enough. Didn't want to kill the body so I stopped running it.
I hear ya. Thanks. I'm sure that's an issue with any onroad car (electric or nitro). That leaves people who want a scale onroad car in a bit of risk. I can see a rally car being an option...but even there, there are not many options in the market.
A lot of what really catches on the cracks is the body. So changing that out would help.
Great point!
Can a HPI body fit over a Traxxas or Tamiya or other 1/10 scale
Looks good. Fire it up.
+024DJF fired it up today and drove it in complete fear the entire time. lol!
Did it come with a battery and charger?
Best part about the sport3 flux is definitely the electronics, value wise, you pay 70% for the electronics, 20% for that sweet body and the rest goes into the flimsy chassis with stuck screws, auto-stripping spur gear and front axles that are too short so they pop out if you power on in turns..
It`s fast though, fastest RTR I ever bought, but I`ve had a lot of problems with it, including not being able to adjust or remove the motor due to stuck screws, not being able to remove the motor MOUNT due to stuck screws, having to shim the bearing the drive axle rides on to keep the spur in place, because it`s basically held in place by the plastic cover underneath the car (shitty design).
But it`s easy to remove, and that`s good because on 3s this car EATS spur gears ..
Mine runs on RWD at the moment, but I`ve found longer front axles for it, but I strip less spurs on RWD due to less stress on the spur.
But to make the car good, I need to buy a more powerful drill and screw extraction tool for 2-2.5mm screws, and those are hard to even find.
Spent about 50 bucks on tools that have stripped on those stuck screws, and I have to spend 100 more on tools.
Unless people have a good amount of tools and a bit of knowhow, I wouldn`t recommend this car to anyone, because it`s a project car..
You still have this? I want a street car and this is the one I like the best. Any complaints?
It’s one of the only RCs I’ve sold. The surface must be completely smooth and have no little pebbles anywhere. The steering arms are so low that racks get stuck between the arm and the chassis and steering completely locks up...all the time. Probably best used indoors, but then the speed side of it is useless in a small space like a gym. I’d get the Traxxas 4-Tec
@@CCxRC it's funny you mentioned that I thought in the pics it was super low. But there is no way to raise the body a little at all? And Traxxas brand is no go for me. Hmmm
I also like the kyosho Fazer modules maybe I'll get one of those instead
I have one and the steering sucks balls.. I haven't figured out how to stabilize the steering yet but I'm working on it..have you experienced any problems other than the dog bones popping out I'd like to know please...
Hey man. Steering at full throttle is definitely still iffy for me...to put it lightly. I haven't had any dog bones pop out, but I did strip the spur gear on about the 4th run with it. Had to realign the mesh after replacing because the motor seemed to have slipped and the spur wasn't lined up properly. Other than that, I did adjust the suspension for the highest ride height to give it more clearance for imperfect roads. Hoping to take it out again this weekend.
After about 3 months of unsuccessful research and countless trial and errors , I've open-endedly concluded that if you put little washers on the bolts that hold the c-hubs to the A-arms and on the bell cranks will help stabilize the steering as well as keep the steering centered...your thoughts?
Mines has all xray t2 parts like the c-hubs, a arms, universal dog bones, and wheel carriers
And the shocks are xray too
Check out my videos tell me what you think of my homemade pop up headlights on my rx7 e10 drifter
How fast can she go with the upgraded pinion?
Never got it up to full speed. It always has issues.
27/75 gearing with 4000 flux vektor and 3s....any ideas on what my speed may be?
No idea. Sorry. Let me know if you find out.
Is that considered a 190mm body or 200mm?
From what I've seen 200mm+, since it runs on 31 and 34mm tires, you can run it on 190mm electrics, just get wider wheels/higher offsets
Hi. Isn't battery on box?
Nice car, but no place for driveing it! at least not outdoors... allmost every onroad rc suffers the same problem...not enough groundclearence, and no anti pebble proofing... For me it is nothing more then a shelf queen... For that however it is quit expensive... love the vid mate, keep them rolling!
Thanks for watching and the comment. You nailed it right on the head about the lack of places to drive it. I haven't really got to test it completely because I don't have a place to run it.
hello m8 I was wondering if a bigger better (futaba) receiver would fit in that sealed receiver box... would be a shame to get this and not be able to uprgrade the receiver/trns
What size is the receiver? I can try to look and see if it would fit
CCxRC thank you!! My receiver is a futaba r203gf 1.54 x 1.02 x 0.39" (39 x 26 x 10mm)
+Miguel Meza cool. I'll get my calipers out and check it
why would you buy drift tires for a 70mph car
cool stuff
+Kevys Rc & Music I'm digging it
+CCxRC :) awesome
what should i get then? the mustang or this?
What Mustang are you looking at?
CCxRC No i mean should i buy the e10 mustang or this porsche
Depends on how fast you want it out of the box. I think the e10 is a brushed motor and the Porsche is brushless
CCxRC but is the mustang waterproof like this too?
Is it good
Harrison Davis it was too hard for me to control. 😁
Love mine. We will have to do some speed runs together. :)
+Joe Schmoe definitely man! I was a bit put off today after my first runs and the steering constantly locking up from small rocks blocking the bell crank...
+CCxRC gravel free = way to be
+expobond I hear that!
+CCxRC Yeah this is definately not a rally car lol, just a few small pebbles and you KNOW one of them is going right in the crank lol :p
like a Bull in a China shop. I just bought the car though, it looks durable lol 😂
big thumbs up :-)
+RC Team Austria thanks bud. I hope the performance can live up to the looks
Do the drift tires included?
+William Lavery no. the tires are a soft grippy rubber compound.
what?320?
Link to buy plz
sweet
+WIG SPLITTERS RC thanks man. Almost killed it on the first run. Steering locked up from the tiniest pebble under the bell crank. might have to carry a leaf blower with me everywhere or strap one on top.
CCxRC yea its super low
And the charger? Is it included
No not included
William Lavery I just bought this car from tower hobbies, I also got an associated lipo charger that comes with a 2s 3300 30C battery, also got three more 2S 4000 40C lipsos, and a few deans plugs, grand total was like $475...
What kind of battery? Lipo
+William Lavery I use LiPo batteries. I get more power from it and it stays consistent.
But lipo is not included?
+William Lavery No. there isn't a battery or charger included
Nice....gonna do any speed runs?
+Wayne Peeples Building myself up to it. I tried to get it up to full speed today but steering was all over the place - even when I wasn't steering at all. Tiny rocks kept jamming in the bell crank. The road looked clean...but it wasn't clean enough
+CCxRC go with a 1/8 high voltage ...high torque servo...You should be fine
Wayne Peeples will that just crush the pebbles into a fine dust? haha
Lol...no but will help alot...honestly when I do my speed runs ...I carry a leaf blower in my trunk when there is a lot of debris. ..clean street=excellent traction
Do you have a traxxas xo-1
No. But I'd love to try one out.
Oh it will be very expensive!
tires id ?
It looks so small
+DDOSH it's 1/10 scale. It's a pretty cool size
$20??? Ill give you $50 for it!
I still have mine in the box…😂
