The reefs have been firing lately with these swells and I wanted to document some of the local waves. Sunset is hard to shoot with the backlight but it turned out fairly well.

@@tylermuehl415 Back when I lived in Bird Rock (at the "Sector 9" house on La Jolla Boulevard) in the 1990's that was the name of the spot that you see, being shot from the South, with "the sidewalk" of reef exposed in the foreground. I don't know that anyone called it anything else, ever... What do you call it?

@@tylermuehl415 No, no...I'm positive that there IS NO SUCH SPOT, with a name of that sort... I mean...I've HEARD of a place called "Lobster Lounge"... But I'm sure that it's crowded enough already, that we don't need to go around drawing people maps to it, either...
As for "Devil's" - that is, for sure, one of the several spots shown in this video... But aside from what I've already written...my lips are sealed.
