this song gives such an indescribable feeling. like someone walking around in the city of a warm midnight that by the end of the song, slowly morphs with the dawn as his struggles turn into strength, you guys never miss ??? your music is just breathtaking !!!
The first song Review! Errasuriz by Kiltro. It's my favorite song from their new album Underbelly released 2023. Underbelly tells the untold stories from the unseen and unnoticed from the streets in a Latin American city; the underbelly. The theme of cats and dogs are recurring and almost feel like the stories are viewed from their perspective. The entire album is a beautifully wrapped masterpiece. Each song transitions perfectly unto the next with an ambience that has incredible depth. Errasuriz is the third song from the album, and tells the story of an abusive relationship. They’ve drifted apart and are trying to fix the relationship, but it ends up as fights and the closer they get the more they lose of themselves. The song climaxes with the singer driving away in frustration and ultimately much relief to Errazuriz; an area in Santiago de Chile. The intensity and progression of the song is wonderful and reflects the emotional story the characters go through. The acoustic guitar leads, and carries the lyrics throughout the song. Intermittently the ambient sounds are allowed to come through and are almost used as an instrument in creating tension. It ends again with the aforementioned complex ambience, unconcluded; fading away. Their Chilean roots are definitely felt in their choice of instruments, and occasional spanish lyrics. All songs have a strong and captivating percussion which makes me bob and sing along. All in all the band captures a feeling which is enchanting and not found anywhere else.
This hits way too close back home having suffered through an annoying and toxic boyfriend with an unfuriating EX who wouldn't want to let go of me. "Say what you want to do, it's murder, it's murder, snd thsts alot like you." , this to me seems like what alludes to desth threats and this entire song perfectly descibres a troubled relationship... Many who have suffered it will know and feel exactly the same that the song describes, in the end we just want the blissful company of Peace ✌️ and Quiet 😢
Lyrics from description: I tug at my collar The air’s not the same with you You’re one then you’re other You’re odd You’re familiar Aren’t you Well, me I’ve got choruses Scrapped lines And piecemeal threads When life makes things porous Well I’d like them whole again He kicks at your shins Steals all your clothes These are the likes of a man that takes what he owns Batters your head Trashes your home These are the nights when alas he’ll leave you alone The air brings a chill It’s the last night until I have you But that’s not okay Cos in holding us close I find half of you Half of me Gone And the wheels veer away Skipping feels like a lane or two In the light of a half spoken thought That comes up as it’s gone from you And all that’s to say… It kicks at your shins Steals all your clothes These are the likes of a man that takes what he owns Goes where he likes, Follows you home Always alone Always alone Boy Say what you want to do It’s murder It’s murder That man is a lot like you In waiting, he’s waiting And take what you will I’m through With fighting and fighting It hurts but it makes me new This person This phantom Is gone I know you At least I did But all the time I feel you missing And I see you At least I should From here on out My eyes are clear Are you wondering Am I so bad? Well so am I It’s funny I’m leaving I’m driving blind Errasuriz You’ll find me there One of my favorite songs from this album, amazing once again :)
The song appears to have a dark and melancholic theme. Although the interpretation of a song can vary based on each listener's perspective, here is a possible translation of the lyrics: The song talks about a feeling of incompleteness and confusion in a relationship. The narrator describes how the air doesn't feel the same without the other person, and how that person is both changing and familiar at the same time. There is a sense of loss and fragmentation in the narrator's life, with discarded lines and fragments. Then, the song describes a man who causes physical and emotional harm. He steals clothes, physically abuses, and leaves someone else's home in ruins. The narrator mentions that these are the nights when finally the man will leave them alone. There is a longing and desire in the air, with the hope of having the loved one, but at the same time, the narrator realizes that by holding each other close, they only find half of themselves. There seems to be internal conflict and a sense of loss of identity. Then, the song mentions a man who is a lot like the narrator and is waiting. The narrator seems tired of fighting and accepts that the pain they experience transforms them and makes them feel new. The narrator states that they know the other person, but feel their absence and hope to see them clearly in the future. The song concludes with a mention of "Errasuriz," and here I have one theory. "Errasuriz" refers to Errázuriz Avenue in Valparaíso, a city in the Fifth Region of Chile, where Chris Bowers Castillo lived for a while. Perhaps this has to do with a personal experience of Chris or a story created by Chris based on this avenue.
I think this song is inseparable from Softy, and it's about this boy maturing into a man he doesn't understand, maybe expecting himself to become mean and horrible. (he says the man batter his head, and also that he's old and familiar, maybe like another older man in his life) At the end of Errasuriz the boy has just decided to let the change happen, "Driving blind". And then in Softy I think he realized that boy part of himself never really went away, and he never became a scary or mean older man, just calmer and more confident.
I stopped by because of the album cover, but i didn't expect the music to be SO. Great. Like I listen to it over and over and I'm so happy yt suggested this group
This new album is so good, I'm so happy they released more 🥹🥹 I got so nervous, just listening to the older albums on repeat - thought they were done for like many of my other fave, small artists. Their music is so ethereal and complex, so happy more is available!! Also, this is def my fave song in the alb 😤😤

Lyrics from description:
I tug at my collar
The air’s not the same with you
You’re one
then you’re other
You’re odd
You’re familiar
Aren’t you
Well, me
I’ve got choruses
Scrapped lines
And piecemeal threads
When life makes things porous
Well I’d like them whole again
He kicks at your shins
Steals all your clothes
These are the likes of a man that takes what he owns
Batters your head
Trashes your home
These are the nights when alas he’ll leave you alone
The air brings a chill
It’s the last night until
I have you
But that’s not okay
Cos in holding us close
I find half of you
Half of me
Gone
And the wheels veer away
Skipping feels like a lane or two
In the light of a half spoken thought
That comes up as it’s gone from you
And all that’s to say…
It kicks at your shins
Steals all your clothes
These are the likes of a man that takes what he owns
Goes where he likes,
Follows you home
Always alone
Always alone
Boy
Say what you want to do
It’s murder
It’s murder
That man is a lot like you
In waiting, he’s waiting
And take what you will I’m through
With fighting
and fighting
It hurts but it makes me new
This person
This phantom
Is gone
I know you
At least I did
But all the time
I feel you missing
And I see you
At least I should
From here on out
My eyes are clear
Are you wondering
Am I so bad?
Well so am I
It’s funny
I’m leaving
I’m driving blind
Errasuriz
You’ll find me there
