Thank-you for your videos. You are helping me to understand my Mother. She lives with me and she is a hoarder. It has been really difficult, I really appreciate your honesty and your comments help me understand how she sees things. Thank-you.💕
I had a habit of piling paper everywhere but I finally got it moved into my office area but still haven’t dealt with it. I’m pretty sure a lot of it is trash and shredding. I use to have a bigger hoarding problem when I was in my early adulthood and first married. I would just move all the stuff from one house to another. I had books from my junior high school library that they were giving away and school notes from high school when I was in nurse aid training cuz I thought I might need them one day but I never went on 😢continue the schooling after graduation. I finally realized in my mid 30s why I kept it all and it was cuz my I was younger we always moved a lot and I would lose things that I thought were precious to me. But, I love your channel and the tips you give. It helps me when I get stressed out with decluttering and cleaning. Thank you so much for letting me know it’s ok to take my time and deal with the stress associated with this.
I just love your kind and gentle heart. You are a gem!! Your content is helping so many people. Thank you for sharing your journey, and Pepper, with us. ❤
I remember years ago there was a mom help suggestion that if company was coming and you had stuff sitting around to throw the items in a box. One other suggestion was if you had dirty dishes to put the dishes in a tub and put under the sink. My little daughter proceeded to open the cabinet and showed the company what I did with the dirty dishes 🤣
What an awesome feature to already have a fireplace in your basement. Imagine your craft room and sitting making arts and crafts while you have a cozy fire going. Great tossy tossy pile today.
I don't think I have any hoarding tendencies but I definitely have a couple of #shove it in a box # crates. I can see one sitting in the corner of the bedroom... You've encouraged me to deal with that crate TODAY!
It will be lovely when you have that hidden fireplace completely uncovered and decorated. Personally, I would throw out anything that was in the box with the mouldy stuff in it. This is because I wouldn’t recommend your boys playing with or displaying items that have been in a closed box next to mouldy things for that length of time, as mould spores can be absorbed into other materials which are invisible to the naked eye especially cardboard, paper and lightweight mixed plastics.
Can't wait for your cool hangout space in the basement with a CRAFT area and comfortable, cozy chairs for hanging with hubby by the downstairs fireplace. You are almost there!!!
Thank you for sharing your valuable insight! To hear you talk about your thought process in such a clear and non-shaming way shows how far you’ve come in your journey and how much you’re helping others. You are an inspiration!
Totally agree with the cozy fireplace basement! What a treasure to have space like that! What an amazing space that can be for the whole family carpeted and semi- finished. Great work this week Miss Heart!!!
I just wanted to let you know that I look forward to this video every week. It is like the time before streaming services and you had to wait all week for the next episode. Keep decluttering and sharing. Love it
Yes! Two paper box sized pieces of space. Victory. And catching the mold spot early and stopping it from destroying your things that actually should be in the basement. What a satisfying round this was. I celebrate with you.
I said "WOW' at the size of that tossy tossy pile. That was a big one! I rescued a young black tabby kitten from the freezing weather Christmas Eve and named him Pepper because of your helper kitty. He's living with my Mom who needed a buddy. She lost her 17 year old cat last year and I have two kitties to care for. Pepper (boy) is loving his new home.
Amazing that you have basement fireplace. What a great play Lou he area that will make. Set up a crafting section, workout area, lounge area, and play area. Add a few area rugs and couch-you are set. Great job
I'm so proud of you! And you do such a great job at explaining the reasons behind the disorders. You make it SO relatable! Thank you for putting so much effort into these videos🥰
What you have a fireplace in the basement?! You could make it so cozy down there. I’m so impressed by you letting go of the silver glittery stuff from your wedding. Great job!
Yes we do!! Lol That’s what I was dreaming of doing, making another cozy living space down there!! Especially for the boys when they have friends over!
I very much appreciate you explaining all the emotions and steps you take. I am a horder, and im working through stuff, but i didnt have a good way to put into words what im trying to do. You're really good at explaining it and its helping me so much
I am about two years into my hoarder recovery process. I love your videos and use them as gentle reminders that I’m not alone and I don’t have to be ashamed of my hoarding disorder. I also use them as decluttering with me videos. Thank you for sharing your process with us.
Seeing your videos has helped me declutter our house. This year it is the basement. I categorized what is there and am starting on a clothes bin there tomorrow! I just have one, so that is an easy place to start.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the fireplace area completed, so that you can light the fire and not be so cold doing basement videos in the winter! Amazing progress again in this video - you let go of a lot and made your home safer too!
Your videos are so helpful to me 💕 I put them on in the background when I'm tackling my hoard. It feels a lot easier when doing it with someone else! You should be so proud of how much you're achieving in your own life, as well as helping others 💕💕💕
Omg that’s a huge pile leaving. Well done. I do the exact same thing when I know people are call and bag up everything off the counter but then end up with out of sight out of mind. It’s been a while since we saw the fireplace and it will be a huge reward when you have the basement completely done and sit in front of that fire with family. I think Miss Pepper is already picking her spot. That’s for always explaining the emotions of hoarding and ADHD. Thanks for inspiring, motivating and encouraging me and so many others to start and keep going one step at a time. Have a great weekend. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐈🦄
I’ve been following you since the very beginning when you were in disguise. I’m just amazed how much you have grown. You sound like a professional when you explained why you hoarded! You deserve to light up the fireplace next time you are in the basement de cluttering to warm you up.
If the bin has food items that have leaked or exploded and mold, I would consider set any other items in the bin a biohazard as well. I highly recommend getting two things for your basement to help with the air quality: 1) a dehumidifier that is constantly running at a certain humidify level that drains to a sink or sump pump pit (this will reduce the chance of mold growth in the basement), and an 2) air cleaner with a hepa filter (this will filter your air from toxins, mold, and viruses).
I randomly clicked on your channel a week ago and now I'm obsessed with your videos! I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum where I have OCD and everything has a home and I get rid of stuff right away (probably too quickly!). So I find your videos fascinating! I also find them helpful since I would love to help people declutter and love your advice on what to say or not to do and how to be mindful of others attachments.
Thank you so so much for being my friend through this journey 🦄💜🙏🏼🌟 Seriously, I’ve only gotten this far in my recovery because of your loving kindness!!!
Thanks for your videos n telling about why you have stuff n all. I’ve been going through my stuff getting rid of boxes n papers n stuff I can now look at n know it has no value at all. Thank you again n pepper to
I have a lot of boxes like you described, too. But this year.. I am dedicated to taking care of myself by walking through the uncomfortable emotional fears because I know that my Jesus is there on the other side with arms of comfort and joy and peace for me!!!! Thank you, Friend, for the encouragement
I have been working through my basement and these help motivate me to see it’s possible. I don’t feel nearly as overwhelmed and just do a little bit at a time. Thank you for continuing to share your journey.
December 2023. I spent $5 on crafts this month. November, 0. October, $3. I'm good with craft items for awhile. I have a new calendar and Valentines Day. But, I got rid of stuff today, and found more to toss. Tina, Al's wife
I would so LOVE if Cas from Clutterbug could come and help you to organize your Craft area whenever you're ready to do that part of the basement. Even if it was virtually, I think she would be so helpful to you AND make it beautiful which I know is important to you.
September 2024. My SIL will be in town next weekend. I have some glassware to give her. I can't climb anymore and she can use it. I've also moved my craft items to be easier to reach. My son once laughed at me because I've stored things under the living room couch. Now my crafts are under my bed. I'm wearing my daughter's old clothes. We don't need very much. Tina, Al's wife
I love your way of speaking about the clutter and the process changed overtime. To way better. Confident, strong, and most important, happy and proud! You are a star, Mrs.Heart! Wow for how you tackled such full of emotions bins from your wedding day! PS-you looked and still look gorgeous! Time seems not touching you! Beatiful! 😘 ❤️ 🦄

Excellent video! You hit it right on! Thank you.
I’m watching your videos as I’m decluttering and reorganizing 4 small totes of random things.
That was an amazing tossy tossy pile! I'm so proud of you!

Oh, I love the shot of you actually recycling the tossy-tossies toward the end! Added accountability! Yas!

Wow! Great job decluttering! Pepper’s like, “hey, check out this fire place!”
Thank you.
That desk your uncovering would be great in your new craft area
Great job!
Loved your advice on emotional decluttering. 🥰
In my old house we had a gas fireplace on a thermostat for our basement to keep it heated. It was great.
You've made tremendous progress. You avoided the after- Christmas sales. Tina, Al's wife

I struggle with ADHD too. Its hard.
Your growth has been amazing to watch. Thank you for sharing!
Can't wait for your cool hangout space in the basement with a CRAFT area and comfortable, cozy chairs for hanging with hubby by the downstairs fireplace. You are almost there!!!
Even if you don't struggle with hoarding, the sentimental, fancy, pretty stuff is hard! Those are usually the last things to go through anyway.
Great job like always!!!! 🦄 🌈 💖
Awww ! I me and my hubby also got married in 2007 ❤ thanks for another great video ❤❤ Jenny 🇬🇧
U go girl
A fireplace! Oh my! As much as I love the decluttering, I can't wait for the organization and decorating!
Hooray for easy decisions. I tossed a bunch of mail/paper today too.
