Hello , Thank you for precious information.
My wife is at abroad and I applied for my son's passport in minor catagory.
I attended the passport office for that and submitted all documents along with annexure c and D .
Now, the file is at physical police verification at local police station.
Now, the police officer asked for affidavit from my wife from abroad. If I don't submit then he told me to that he will put a note that mother is absent and that might affect the passport issuance time or may get rejected. If I ask for the affidavit from abroad, it may take more than 15-20 days timing.
Kindly guide what to do as I showed him all documents including annexure C and D.

I had applied for my kid passport in Tatkal. My husband is in UAE. But when I went for my appointment they said if one parent is not present on appointment date then you cannot apply in Tatkal category. I had filled C and D both the forms.
