Dr. Conner thanks for your insights on all these videos. They helped me choose Paulk and Ruby Crisp cultivars for my home garden. 2 years to harvest, here we go...!
@@jennifersevest5204 I bought one plant from Ison's last year. It's in my big greenhouse here in Seattle. It's got 2 vines that are about 12 feet long. I hope to get some fruit this year.
No where else sells it. You should call, they often sell out and I think they may have a waiting list set up, I'm not sure. It is wonderful as long as you don't overcrop it. Especially as a young vine, it wants to set too many fruit which weakens the vine and leads to a watery taste.
Second year crop should be limited. You can leave a light crop on so you can get a taste of them if you don't have other vines, but don't let it load up fruit up and down the vine in year two.
I don't have measurements, but in general would be relatively low for a muscadine. A lot of the "bite" comes from the skin if you are chewing it, and 'RubyCrisp' has less of this.

Don't let them set too many first 3 years and you will do well. Muscadines are really pretty care free.
Somebody, please let me loose in that Vinyard!
Love to get these in australia, not many cultivar here, the only one i have consistent results with is adonis.its pretty good but
Fascinating. Where can I buy RubyCrisp plants?
Currently Ison's Nursery and Bottom's Nursery have a license to sell RubyCrisp.
Any update on additional sellers? Both the nurseries listed above are sold out.

@@jennifersevest5204 March 2023 - Isons all sold out. Bottoms has RubyCrisp and many others still available
These look great.
I have three planted. The best one is at fifteen plus feet so far.
I would really like to purchase a couple of these vines.
Bottom's Nursery and Ison's Nursery have licenses to sell RubyCrisp.
@@patrickconner6532 I check and they are currently unavailable at both locations. These look really good.

Would you remove all the fruit the second year on Supreme as well? I know it also tends to over fruit.

How is the acidity? After eating several muscadines my mouth can definitely feel the acidity in our noble.

These look like candy I recently moved to Florida and want to start growing these. I want to taste some varieties first
It's better if you can try first because everyone has different tastes. I like RubyCrisp a lot, but it is light on muscadine flavor.
Thanks
