YES AILEEN! Thank you, Aileen (: You are always hitting the right spots!
    "Worth is immeasurable"
"Do not base worth on external validations, other people and things."
"Stop putting your worth on productivity."
"Stop putting your worth on performance."
I jotted these tips in my journal which led to free style writing. Love how the recent videos got me writing more! And I am definitely healing as nightmares are slowly turning into dreams. (:

Thanks for sharing x...for the question about self worth after a traumatic experience: I agree with everything you said. Ultimately the experience is not about YOU, it’s not YOU, YOU can choose your response. I wanted to add also maybe to recognise that you have come through the experience, YOU are still here, still alive and still have worth. An experience does not have to take anything from you, it can add, you can choose to learn something, or not. It also sometimes helps me to remember that everyone is and can only do the best they can given who they are in that moment. So be kind to yourself...bit all over the place but hopefully there is something helpful there for someone...

Yep. Need to fix my self esteem when it comes to my work performance. I feel I'm unqualified for the job force and tbh compare myself bc I'm not like others. I struggle and complain about things even teens are like totally up for. I do my work with 100% effort but I think its still not good enough for their standards. And I feel no matter where I go or what I do I'll still be the same. Not reaching the basic standard even teens can reach, its really a deep rooted insecurity of mine. I get bad anxiety over it too

Thanks for the video. There are persons who want to care for each other, though with self care, too. I think both ourselves and others are important. We live in a team. If someone hope not bother us depends: either forgive, find out why or don't care about that person. Thanks Aileen for the opportunity to analyze the other and self care, though caring for others should not be a bother.

  • @iamandreakorin
    @iamandreakorin 4 роки тому

I have a similar view, I say that self worth is the essence. Totally agree that we totally compare ourselves. And women, and how we look.. so much to be said there. Self worth is spiritual , and the other one is ego based. Love the vid. So well explained.

This was the perfect time for Ur video. Very soon my results are gonna come out and i know that I didn't do very well in the exams. But since I was always a very good or like A grade scoring student in the school, my parents have very high expectations for me. Yesterday accidentally my mom said that she knows my results are gonna be awesome. And i just started doubting myself. I have been crying the whole night thinking that I am not worthy or I don't deserve such good parents. I have my birthday next month and I don't know why but i feel like I don't deserve any gifts or wishes. The thing is I know my results are not gonna be what everyone is expecting it to be. But I have accepted that. My only fear is that my parents are not gonna accept that or they will be shameful when they will hear the results of their friends' kids, who will score more than me. I have been telling them that I am not going to score what they are expecting. But they still don't believe me. They still think that their daughter is very intelligent and can score A grade in every exam.

Ive watched your videos before about self-love and all of that. It really helped. I did feel comfortable in my own skin. But growing up, my friends started talking about my appearance. They told me my eyes are so small, my nose is big and ugly, my forehead is too wide,... just nearly my whole face! Then I felt so bad about myself. I always want to make others feel good but they didn’t seem to want to do the same. I know nobody’s perfect but... when a boy told me that I am cute. I’m so shocked. I considered myself everything but cute. Back when I was younger, I do think I look fine just like others. Now I just feel it unbelievable every time sb complement me on my look. When a boy liked me, I felt so insecure that I kept asking myself that if he knew my “real” self would he stop liking me, if some days he realized I’m not pretty would he leave me.
I really need to stop thinking like that.
Now I have to start to train my self-love again.
Thanks for the videos. It’s so great and helpful! ❤️

I love this video. Even though I make content to encourage other’s to improve the quality of their lives, I too sometimes feel unworthy. I guess it’s just a human thing. We just gotta reminded ourselves that we are incredible and amazing. It’s not wise to compare our paths to others, instead, focus creating a path that can help others.

Hi Lavendaire. Thank you so much for this video. I'm one of those people who downplay compliments and am constantly comparing myself to others. Hearing what you said helped give me a new perspective on how I can change my thinking. Thank you again (also, side note, it was cool to see my question in the thumbnail, so thank you for that).

Omg it was soo good. I have took a lot of notes. I'm glad that I could interconnect the points you mentioned . I got to know that due to my certain traumatic depressing experiences I have grown stronger and this made me emotionally independent. I also got to realize that I have to work on my mental independence. Thank you so much.💞💞💞💞

This is a very good video. It speaks to me in special towards the very end. The most important is not allowing anymore others to define my self-worth, because it has more to do with what their issues they realize they could deal with themselves for comparing themselves when around someone they just hate. I celebrate beauty at any age, in spite of the damage caused and the pain which I opt to leave behind for I am worthy, I love myself just too much to continue allowing a narcissist hindering me from pursuing my future. Thank you so much for creating this video. Perhaps it would be a good idea to create a new one about hacking and the psychogical effects on the victims of cyberbullying. God bless you!

I thought u did a great job- u choose ur words wisely and I respect what u say. I have a feeling you practice what you preach and that comes across. I just discovered your podcast thru instagram but I have been watching your UA-cams for about a year- even bought ur workbook to the "Artists Way". I use your reflection wheel monthly to check where I am in my life and where I need to pay more attention to- it's awesome!
