GAANOW: Glory Days Meath 1987 and 1999

Some of the many #GAAGloryDays Meath GAA have experienced throughout the years came under the masterful watch of Sean Boylan like in 1987 when Meath defeated Cork to reclaim the Sam Maguire Cup for the first time in 20 years & Cork were the opposition again in 1999 when inspirational performances from Trevor Giles & Graham Geraghty saw Meath crowned All-Ireland Champions!

I think it was Conor Neville from RTE who said that everyone secretly loved the 86 - 91 Meath team even if they said they hated them, and that's a fair point. They had Mick Lyons, one of the greatest warriors who ever lived, and Bernie Flynn, one of the most talented (and courageous) footballers of all time. For that alone they deserve our full respect, and that's not to mention the other magnificent players they had.
