I was a teenager in HS in the early 10s and this was heavy in my playlist. Teens now are all listening to things like this but back then my taste was so different that I found no one who would jam this with me.
I've spent a few weekends now absolutely hoarding all the Slowdive live sessions from recent years. I'm keeping them forever, just as I will all the albums
i just, the amount of time they spent together composing their music for years and then reuniting in their late years, it's just so beautiful for some reason...😭😭🩵
Lyrics Closed doors brings open minds (and I don't want to see you) See you smile inside (and I don't want to know you) Faces and I've fallen (and I don't want to hear you) Wonder why I'm here now In asylum Don't you see? In asylum Don't you see? Doors close and feelings flow (and I don't want to know you) Through my mind I feel his (and I don't want to hear you) Pictures and I've fallen (and I don't want to know you) Wonder why I'm here now (I promise to be near you) Curse your soul, I don't wanna know you And I, curse your soul, I don't wanna know you Curse your soul, I don't wanna know you And I, curse your soul, I don't wanna know you
Amazing how 90's teens can connect with 10's teens thanks to theses guys.
Your music is so impressive and powerful. Long live shoegaze
Juan Carlos Their fan base didn’t consist of only teenagers in the 90s. I was in my early 20s Slowdive was in constant rotation then.
@@tomschneitter8180 I was in my early 20s too. I got all of my friends my age into Slowdive at the time.

I saw them do this live in 1994 & my ears are still ringing ! ( It was worth it )

4:42 jazzmaster player dropped the whammy 🤣😎
Lmaoo
it bended so hard it droped, for true Shoegazer fashion
Souvlaki is in my top 3 albums of all time. And I’ve had wide-ranging, eclectic tastes and adventures in music since the early ‘70’s. A masterpiece.
I just love the magic of the guitar playing here along with the percussion. Rachel really is a fantastic vocalist

That pedal board looks like it belongs in a space station control room.
The settings are so good that anything sounds great with it.
In a souvlaki space station
So smooth, let me just put this whammy bar back in. No worries.
Gawd Souvlaki was an incredible album. So intense, captures the early 90s anxiety and potential.
soundtrack to my early 20's - absolutely marvelous and timeless too.
God they are so good
I had no idea these guys were still playing wow. "here she comes" is my go to relax song for decades and this one was my second fav
This is just wonderful!
I love this. This is how they played it when I saw them in 2017.
I love these studio sessions, really brings out the different elements of song and appreciate how it all clicks - supber
Great drummer

S P I N A L D I V E
Just amazing!
So nkce. Beautiful piece.
I noticed something unusual- that Christian has a decent amount of screen time in this video. : )
i love this
Lovely
Sensational
Getting my fill before LP5 arrives. Not long now I hope.
Nice
Que belleza!!!!
Les esperamos en Paraguay 😁😁😁🇵🇾
Turn those drums up
nah, i think it's a near perfect mix for the style, the guitars and bass should kinda wash the kit away
I mean on the album the drums are almost inaudible when the song is in full swing (save for that cutting snare sound) so I'd say this works nicely
nice
Even when they hit bung notes it still sounds cool. I’m looking at you slide player 👀
Just glad im not the only one who noticed
Amazing, sadly overlooked band.
everyone wearing 7506's. awesome.
Who else here just saw them live? 🙂
damn tasty to the ears
♥️🧸
The low energy version
The Jeb Bush version. Please clap.
drummer in the thinking corner, mustve been naughty
04:41 😆
Actually the guitar messed up at the last part a little.
Anyway still good job slowdive!
Keep doing more gigs please!
This studio version sounds somewhat muffled, live version sounds much, much better.
Poor drummer got quarentined 😁
That isn't Rachel on vocals, or is it?
It is.
Hmmmm.... "Walking on the Moon" by Police???
