I think one of the reasons why people think he's a smurf is because although he is iron-bronzeish, he was able to play with a variety of people. From iron players to literally pro gamers, he has experience that the average player in his same rank doesn't have.
I think he's just really a jack of all trades. He's decent at most games but he doesn't excel at much (higer rank). It's not that he doesn't try but he just doesn't want to stray away from a play style he's comfortable with
IMO it's opposite to he feeling comfortable with a play style. I think once he is bored with a character he tries something very different that requires master different techniques. For example, he started playing Raze and mastered those sachels, then moved to Omen trolling with his ability, then Chamber and his OP, then Yoru and got tons of knife kills. Even recently he was popping off with Iso and then suddenly changed all for crazy Neon plays (problably because he saw some tiktok lol)
I do think he just doesn't really try in Valorant. He just plays the game to make cool plays, and sometimes he's impatient he just sends it. As opposed to actually trying/grinding the game to rank up and learning to play by the book. He grinded the game to practice for a tournament once then after that he didn't even log back in until a couple weeks later just to play with friends.
Just because he doesn’t play a lot on stream doesn’t mean he’s not grinding offstream. A lot of friends have seen him solo-queuing/duoing and brought it up. People who’ve played with him long enough know he can be a higher rank if he tried to improve. Sykkuno has said he prefers lower ranks because it’s less stressful and fun. Those same friends have also mentioned his stubbornness to not adapt and trolling is what keeps him back.

Brother no shit hes not gonna excel at higher ranks. He doesnt even play the game... Nobody is born a god at FPS games.

I was Diamond and haven't played in 2 years. Came back to Iron and got called a smurf too. lol. So I understand the pain.
He got demoted to Iron just recently🫠
