Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 dropped with tons of updates to the cars in the game. They now have a ton of new and returning mods to spice up the gameplay. However, many people are wondering if this is a good or a terrible change. Enjoy the video!

I think if they added hijacking it would make it much more tolerable to fight some cars

I use to love using the brute.
I hated getting killed by it.
The difference with the cars is that they are everywhere and easily accessible.
About 3 or 4 brutes per game, versus over 50 cars per game.

It's better because you can't complain, they are accessible for everyone. Sure, the bosses' cars are way better, but you got something that you can fight with, or even run away.

Cars are kind of broken
While I am on the side that can do the following such as absolutely destroying the other players with machine guns, running them over, and shooting other cars down; I really think the entire car meta this season should be nerfed in many different ways, not too powerful or too weak, the car-less player has better defense against the car user, that type of stuff. And I hope when Magneto and his mythic come out you can use that to defend urself against cars too.
Edit: The cars are absolutely cracked rn, not even a fucking joke.
i think the boss cars need a slight SLIGHT nerf in their health and the damage to players via ramming into them. maybe like 5-20 hp less
If you play zerobuild just throw a bunker over them

Its not really the cars i have a problem with its the fact that theirs no nothing to counter it. Maybe they could bring back like the anvil rocket launcher or bring out a new gun

We have an anti tank rifle coming to the game that does 3x damage to vehicles, as well as a minigun and magnetos power in the near future (a bit longer for magneto.)
I have a clip of myself being melted by the car machine gun turret in exactly 0.43 seconds from 200 hp to 0 please at least nerf them epic
The nitro makes it shoot faster and the same happened to me too

@@freewifi239mate a 0:40 milisecond killtime weapon isn't balanced in anyworld, nor is it a skill issue, most people have arround 30 to 20 miliseconds to react, so that car basically insta-kills you.
Best car killer: land at any mythic car poi, clear out and destroy boss cars so there are no mythic cars mid-end game. This forces amateur players to use normal cars which are much easier to defeat. If everyone does this cars become less part of the game and people won’t like getting destroyed in normal cars.
This sounds so stupid oh boy let me kill the boss and then cripple myself after all that effort.

Everyone won’t do this. If someone wins a boss POI and has access to the boss car, they aren’t gonna destroy it to make the game easier for everyone else. They’re obviously just gonna use the car themselves.

Yeah, the thing that kills me the most this season is car spammers, so they should either yes, add back emps, anvil launchers, or maybe even cluster clingers, (which I really liked btw) because the best thing to deal with cars rn are the spray weapons or boom bow
The biggest problem imo is that there is barely any counter play against cars if you are on foot. The EMP's and the Anvil Launchers seems no brainer to have, but I don't know why Epic didn't include them initially. I heard your opinion on EMP possibly being a strong counter. Maybe they can nerf them so it only disables the turrets and makes the car take 1.5x damage or something instead of completely disabling it.
That would be a great idea to have the emps nerfed a little to not make them too strong
There is a crap ton. The bus has an EMP, the Boom Bolt is literally double pumpable; you could jump, escape the car, or jump in someone's car with enough precision. You just gotta wreck their shit and adapt.
@@solredqueen Boom bolt barely kills a normal car before it runs out of ammo if you hit every single shot, you can't even defeat a boss car with it.
There are only about 2 busses in the entire map and they usually get blown up during fights because it's a big target.
Jumping is not a counter, your opponent is just gonna shoot you with the turret while protected with the car.
You cannot escape a car with the fists let alone on foot if the person is targeting you. Cars are faster.
Good luck getting in a good players car when they are shooting at you from a hill protected by the car. You can't even get in their car if you are playing anything but Solos. That is just a Solos "solution".
I have adapted. I know how op the cars are and I use them to win fights. But it doesn't make me think that they are balanced and healthy for the majority of the players. They are incredibly unbalanced an extremely unfun for people who are stuck without cars and I can realize that. Notice how I didn't mention any nerfs for the cars but rather counter play options. It's the best of both worlds.
By the way they are planning on adding things to counter these cars like from what I heard a sniper that deals like 3x damage to vehicles. They’re also adding a grappler for cars…

I complete disagree.
Even as someone who primarily plays zero build, I disagree.
It feels like a completely different game now.

I’ve only been playing Fortnite for 5 seasons and I’ve seen people bashing the last 4 seasons I’ve played
I thought all 4 of them were really enjoyable.
This is the first season I genuinely did not enjoy.
In other seasons, by now I should be a lvl 100+ but I don’t play that often anymore.
And most of the time I play box fights, reload or body cam.
It’s just doesn’t feel like the same game.
I want to play Fortnite not “The official Mad Max Game”.
Who tf thought having a car meta was a good idea?
The changes in the last seasons didn’t change the overall feel or dynamics of the game.
But this season did.
The only way this season could’ve work is if all the car stuff was added in a different mode, but the option to ply regular Fortnite was still available.

I would say get rid of the auto-regenerating health for the boss cars. Force them to either go to a gas pump, leaving them vulnerable to other players. Or force them to use one of their item slots for a blow torch. They shouldn't be able to go run and hide in a corner and be able to regen all of their health with literally no downsides.
I agree that is so annoying. Also I think in general cars should be able to heal super quick since someone can just call over by a box that heals your car instantly and it gets really repetitive

They can put cars and all these diferent stuff in the game, but they cant become the game itself. It is the most unbalanced season in a battleroyale ever (not just fortnite) to me. This is not fortnite and i just uninstalled this game for the first time since 2019 because is almost unplayable
They need to nerf the speed on cars with mods, IRL you add more weight to a car the slower it will go/burn more fuel, also “soft lock” people from jumping in and out of their cars would help, jump out to shoot oh you can’t jump back in for 5 secs would stop a lot of people from jumping in and out or jumping out from their car to another to run away
build is focused on getting nitro nerfed since it deals ~300 structure damage and has a aoe explosion meaning anything you build gets mowed down in seconds. also the grenade launcher can tear down builds but its not as bad as nitro. But yes the "car meta" is terrible right now.
Cars are very broken, I won a match by staying in megs car without collecting a single weapon or sheild
zero build and build are the same with the car meta since cars can just destroy everything in site like build you are basically playing zero buid

not gonna lie, having the game unbalanced like this is what keeps it popular. when everything is balanced it's just so bland. another thing is with mythics. everyone freaks out when a new mythic is more powerful than a common (lightning bolt last season before nerf for example) when the whole point of rarities is that the higher ones are literally supposed to be more powerful than lower ones. it's sad how people complained so much because with all the nerfs it got people are picking up gray smgs instead now

It's fun, it's crazy, and chaotic. But also frustrating, anger inducing, and cheesy. Chapter 6 should revert these changes. I also believe the nitro fists are a bigger issue than the cars

A solo in a car is tolerable. It’s fuckin annoying when your fighting a dou or two kids teaming in a car and can’t really fight back just run until they kill you.
yeah solos isn't too bad but anything else can feel a little annoying at times
I didnt play season 10 but from what i heard about the mechs i have a really hard would u rather. Would u rather play a season where the only weapon is the mechs or season where the only weapons are waterbending, the frenzy auto, and car mods

@@superiormoonyttournaments don't, I think the best solution is creating a separate loot pool, removing cars from ranked and making the fists rotation only, at least in ranked. I have to play an unofficial tournament today and the format is 1 kill = point, no placement, since it's unofficial... Cars are going to spawn. I've been playing for a long time, didn't quit when mechs were added, didn't quit when primal season was added, and didn't quit when these last 2 seasons were released, but I'm considering quitting this season. That comes from a player that has been playing since sep 2017. Cars, fists, nitro, everything seems like a middle finger to comp players, and if they don't want me in their game, I don't see a reason to stay

A little bit, my opinion is how they are broken and fair at the same time
Okay had a lot of fun the first and second day but today has sucked. I think that hijacking is necessary. Then some balancing for vehicles, change boss car health to be the normal amount as normal cars. Also make cars fuel less more like it has been but keep nitrogen separate. Add ammo to the cars, probably 300 for the machine gun and 60 for the grenade launcher. Reduce grenade damage to players. Make it to where repair boxes don’t completely repair a vehicle either 300 or 500 health and make them also refill the ammo. Now the spiked bumper just is too good with no downsides, I thought the cow shield was supposed to be the one to run through walls and object but the spiked bumper feels just as good at that. I’d say make it as good at slamming through stuff as a car with no bumper, so building can be used as a good defense against it in build modes.

I did the no car challenge solo vs Squads. It's doable to do SOLO no car. Just play smart and high not quick and dumb. It's just an adjustment.
my only problems are ram damage and how overpowered cars are if you’re good. Maybe nerf headshot?
