Great video. I especially like your detail regarding the electrical meter and transferring wiring from old male connector to new male connector. Thanks so much!!
Just ordered all the shit, doing this on my 38-in Ryobi this winter. My battery's 2 and 1/2 years. Less than 60 hours on it. I was very disappointed. I went with 100 watt hours because that's what my tractor came with and I figured if you're going to replace them, why not just do that.
Just one tip. In order to fit the battery- Instead of using the wood blocks, just remove the existing bolts from the battery tray, remove the center guide section (just glued on) and get some all thread to use to move the holder all the say up to the battery. You can use the all thread on both ends if you need to position the battery more centered
Hey there Ryan…. I was wondering if you could provide me with a list of the items you used as well as series of links for those items for your retrofit on your Ryobi mower. Also possibly the cost on your retrofit too if possible! Thanks
AT 5:12 you're pointing at something mounted on a block of wood . What is it called? What is its purpose ? Hope this is not a dumb question . I need to purchase this so I can have all the parts for someone qualified to put this together.. THANKS
That is a current shunt. It measures the current output of the battery for the battery monitor. If you buy the Camway model CAM021 kit like he has, it comes with the kit. You will probably need to purchase a couple 4AWG battery cables to connect it to battery and quick disconnect Anderson plug.
@@chrishobson7537 THANKS. I did purchase this part from AMAZON . I don't have a clue on how to do this .BUT I KNOW A GUY!!! Actually my son owns a car audio shop and one of his crew will be doing the work. I just want to make sure I have all the parts needed so it can be completed without delays.
Ryan, thanks for the video! Did you have to special order to get the battery posts on the ends? The pic I see on the Eco-worthy sales page have the posts on the top.
I love this video. Even though it is short it tells more than all videos I have seen before. I live in the Tampa area and can't find anyone that can do this or at least not afraid to try. Any suggestions?
So is what you're saying is one 50 Ah battery is needed? I'm a slow learner and after 3 yrs my Batteries are getting weaker and I need to do something. Thank for video
Hi Ryan, any interests in our 48v30ah/40ah in GC2 size for your devices? I am Katherine from O'cell, we specialized in LiFePO4 battery for over 15 years. Looking foward to your feedback, thank you very much.
he replaced 4 12v AGM batteries wired in a series to make a 75ah 48v with one 48v50ah lithium battery.because lithium ah is actually 50ah vs lead acid being only 50% (37ah usable) the 50ah battery lasts longer than the 75ah lead acid.
Great video. I especially like your detail regarding the electrical meter and transferring wiring from old male connector to new male connector. Thanks so much!!
Do you mind adding here all the items or links to the components for this conversion project? How much total cost did this do? Thx

A 40ah LI setup will outperform the 100ah AMG. 100ah LI is needed only if you're trying to more than double the amount of mowing per charge.

Thank you Ryan. This video was extremely helpful in my conversion.

What components did you use and where did you get them?
Ditto on providing the items / links / cost of the add-ons beyond the LiFePO4 battery please.
Where are the links for the product. Where did you buy your kit from.
..... links are Secret! .....Never Ask! .....Words Like "Basically" Are Used Often....

RYAN ??? HELP ..
Please give us a parts description and links to where you bought everything ?
Thanks
Do you know how much amp draw only your drive motor uses when driving it around without the mower deck switched on?

If you would not mind where you purchased your battery and charger ??? Battery Used and charger name and approx cost for all....thank You
hello total conversion cost and part links Please thx

What kind of batteries you are using? Lead acid or LiFepo4 ?

I am converting my batteries in a couple weeks.
If you would like to send me a battery , I will gladly make a video and post my success on here.
Hi Rob, how big battery do you need? what is your application?@@robwalter4116
Anyone have a link where I can buy this exact same battery??
so 50ah lithium equals 100ah lead acid because you can only safely discharge lead acid to 50% before damage occurs.
No, any interests in our 48v LFP battery in GC2 size ?
what is the continuous amp output? that would matter here as at least 30amps is needed more if the grass is long.@@katherinedai5911
SO… You replaced 4 lead acids with “1” Lithium Battery??? Correct?
he replaced 4 12v AGM batteries wired in a series to make a 75ah 48v with one 48v50ah lithium battery.because lithium ah is actually 50ah vs lead acid being only 50% (37ah usable) the 50ah battery lasts longer than the 75ah lead acid.
I did the same with 4 - 12V 30 amp hour batteries. Works great with the new charger. You still need 48 volts total.@@fathergratwick
What brand was the voltage meter? Is it on Amazon?
Camway is the vendor
The meter hole needs to be 2.126 inches
Why make a video and not answer anyones questions, hope all is ok over there
A thorough waste of time making a video after you've done the conversion and not listing the parts you used... smh...
